ACADEMIC INSTRUCTION - PROVIDED ACADEMIC INSTRUCTION TO CHILDREN IN GRADES K-8 WITH THE CENTRAL GOAL OF PROMOTING ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE IN OUR STUDENTS, FRIENDS SCHOOL IS GUIDED BY THE PRINCIPLES OF PROGRESSIVE EDUCATION, WHICH RECOGNIZE THAT CHILDREN LEARN BEST AS ACTIVE PARTICIPANTS, COLLABORATORS, AND PROBLEM-SOLVERS.
AFTER SCHOOL AND SUMMER PROGRAMS - FRIENDS SCHOOL OF MINNESOTA OFFERS A WELL-ROUNDED SET OF AFTER-SCHOOL ACTIVITIES FOR STUDENTS TO DO FUN THINGS, ENRICH THEIR LEARNING, AND BUILD RELATIONSHIPS. IN ADDITION TO BEFORE AND AFTER SCHOOL EXTENDED DAY, STUDENTS IN GRADES 1-8 CAN PARTICIPATE IN AFTER SCHOOL MUSIC LESSONS AND ENSEMBLES. THEY CAN RECEIVE ACADEMIC SUPPORT THROUGH HOMEWORK HELP OR ALGEBRA SUPPORT. MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS ARE OFFERED A MYRIAD OF SPORTS AND CLUBS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR. WE ARE PROUD OF THE NUMBER AND VARIETY OF BEFORE AND AFTER SCHOOL OPTIONS WE CAN PROVIDE, ESPECIALLY FOR A SMALL SCHOOL.
