EDUCATION - PELLA CHRISTIAN GRADE SCHOOL PROVIDES 181 DAYS OF INSTRUCTIONAL CHRISTIAN EDUCATION FOR 351 STUDENTS IN KINDERGARTEN THROUGH EIGHTH GRADE. WE CONSIDER OURSELVES AN EXTENSION OF THE HOME AND CHURCH AS WE TEACH STUDENTS ABOUT GOD'S WORLD IN EVERY SUBJECT OF EVERY DAY. OUR MISSION IS TO CHALLENGE STUDENTS TO DEVELOP THEIR INDIVIDUAL GIFTS FOR A LIFE OF SERVICE IN GOD'S KINGDOM.
BUS SERVICE - PELLA CHRISTIAN GRADE SCHOOL UTILIZES TEN BUS ROUTES TO TRANSPORT STUDENTS FROM THEIR HOMES TO SCHOOL EACH MORNING AND FROM SCHOOL TO THEIR HOMES AFTER SCHOOL FOR EACH OF THE 181 DAYS OF SCHOOL. EIGHT OF THE TEN BUSES TRAVEL OUTSIDE OF THE DISTRICT TO BRING STUDENTS IN FROM ABOUT A 45 MILE RADIUS. OUR TRANSPORTATION DIRECTOR IS THE IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR OF ALL BUS SERVICES.
PRESCHOOL - OUR PRESCHOOL PROGRAM ANNUALLY SERVES ABOUT 105 STUDENTS FROM THE PELLA AREA. PARENTS HAVE OPTIONS FOR 2-DAY PRESCHOOL, 3-DAY PRESCHOOL, 4-DAY PRESCHOOL OR 3-DAY PRE-KINDERGARTEN. OUR PRESCHOOL PROGRAM TAKES PLACE IN A HOUSE ON 909 FRANKLIN ST., IN PELLA. OUR PRE-KINDERGARTEN PROGRAM TAKES PLACE WITHIN THE PELLA CHRISTIAN GRADE SCHOOL FACILITY. OUR MISSION IS TO "OFFER A SECURE, LOVING, CHRISTIAN ENVIRONMENT WHERE EACH CHILD CAN DEVELOP SPIRITUALLY, PHYSICALLY, SOCIALLY, EMOTIONALLY AND INTELLECTUALLY THROUGH CURRICULUM ROOTED IN GOD'S WORD."
FOOD SERVICE - OUR FOOD SERVICE PROGRAM OFFERS TO SERVE HOT LUNCH TO THE STUDENTS EACH DAY OF SCHOOL. A REIMBURSABLE MEAL CONTAINS A HEALTHY VARIETY OF FOODS. FIVE FOOD CHOICES ARE GIVEN WHILE STUDENTS MUST CHOOSE THREE. THE FOOD SERVICE PROGRAM IS FEDERALLY FUNDED. ACTIVITY FUND - PROVIDES EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES FOR THE STUDENTS OF THE SCHOOL.
