MUSIC TRAINING CTU TRAINS A LARGE NUMBER OF LOCAL CHILDREN AND ADULTS ON CARNATIC MUSIC THROUGH A STRUCTURED CURRICULUM. WITH THE HELP OF IL BASED CARNATIC TEACHERS AND DANCE (CLASSICAL AND FOLK) TEACHERS, CTU CONDUCTS TRAINING/PRACTICE SESSIONS FOR LOCAL CHILDREN AND ADULTS ON CARNATIC SONGS COMPOSED BY FAMOUS COMPOSERS SUCH AS TYAGARAJA AND DIKSHITHAR. THESE PRACTICE SESSIONS ARE HELD MONTHLY FROM JUNE TO DECEMBER AND TWICE A MONTH FROM JANUARY TO MAY. ATTENDANCE IS MANDATORY FOR PRACTICES. CTU ALSO TRAINS ADULTS ON MORE ADVANCED CARNATIC MUSIC AND THEY ALSO PERFORMED AT THE ANNUAL MUSIC FESTIVAL. THERE ARE SOME SONGS WHERE BOTH ADULTS AND CHILDREN ARE TRAINED TOGETHER.
