THE MISSION OF CHORAL ARTS ENSEMBLE IS TO INSPIRE, EDUCATE, AND ENRICH THE COMMUNITY AT LARGE THROUGH OUTSTANDING CHORAL PERFORMANCE.

ARTISTIC DEVELOPMENT IS AN IMPORTANT ELEMENT OF EXCELLENT CHORAL MUSIC. THE ARTISTIC DIRECTOR SELECTS, INTERPRETS, REHEARSES, AND PRESENTS CHORAL SELECTIONS IN A MANNER CONSISTENT WITH THE COMPOSER'S INTENTIONS THAT INSPIRES BOTH SINGERS AND LISTENERS.
CHORAL ARTS ENSEMBLE COORDINATED AND EDITED SIX CONCERT VIDEOS FOR DISTRIBUTION VIA THE MAYO CLINIC'S INTERNAL VIDEO LIBRARY. THESE VIDEOS WERE MADE DURING THE COVID LIMITED MONTHS. WHEN THE ROCHESTER CAMPUS ALLOWED LIVE PERFORMANCES, CHORAL ARTS ENSEMBLE SOURCED AND PROVIDED 32 LIVE CONCERT EVENTS IN DOWNTOWN ROCHESTER, MN, FOR MAYO PATIENTS, STAFF, AND VISITORS. PERFORMER FEES, CONCERT AUDIO TECHNICIAN FEES, AND THE CAE HARMONY FOR MAYO COORDINATOR'S SALARY ARE INCLUDED HERE.
THE 2021-2022 CONCERT SEASON INCLUDED FOUR LIVE CONCERTS FROM OCTOBER 2021 THROUGH MAY 2022. WITH TWO PERFORMANCES OF THE DECEMBER 2021 CONCERT, THERE WERE FIVE LIVE PERFORMANCES. THE CONCERTS IN OCTOBER & DECEMBER 2021 AND MARCH 2022 WERE ALSO LIVE-STREAMED FOR THOSE WHO WERE NOT ABLE OR COMFORTABLE ATTENDING LIVE PERFORMANCES.
IN ADDITION TO PERFORMING, CHORAL ARTS ENSEMBLE'S MISSION IS TO ENHANCE CHORAL EDUCATION AND NURTURE CHORAL MUSIC APTITUDE IN SE MN. THIS IS DONE THROUGH THEIR CHORAL CONDUCTORS NETWORK AND ANNUAL HIGH SCHOOL CHOIRS FESTIVAL EVENT. THE ARTISTIC DIRECTOR AND SMALL GROUPS OF SINGERS ALSO BRING MUSIC TO SENIOR & HOSPICE CENTERS AND LOCAL MEDICAL HOUSING FACILITIES (I.E., THE GIFT OF LIFE HOUSE).
