THE INTERNATIONAL SOCIETY FOR HEART AND LUNG TRANSPLANTATION (ISHLT) IS A NOT-FOR-PROFIT ORGANIZATION DEDICATED TO THE ADVANCEMENT OF THE SCIENCE AND TREATMENT OF END-STAGE HEART AND LUNG DISEASES.

ANNUAL MEETING: FOR THE PURPOSE OF SHARING KNOWLEDGE AND ADVANCING PATIENT CARE, THE SOCIETY HOSTS AN ANNUAL GATHERING OF PROFESSIONALS ENGAGED IN THE FIELD OF HEART AND LUNG TRANSPLANTATION, END-STAGE HEART AND LUNG DISEASE, AND RELATED SCIENCES. THE MEETING INCLUDES SCIENTIFIC PRESENTATIONS, INVITED LECTURES, AND SYMPOSIA ON TOPICS OF SPECIAL INTEREST.


JOURNAL: THE SOCIETY PUBLISHES A MONTHLY JOURNAL DEDICATED TO ADVANCES IN THE FIELD OF INTRATHORACIC ORGAN TRANSPLANTATION, SUPPORT, AND REPLACEMENT.


REGISTRIES: THE SOCIETY MANAGES TWO TRANSPLANT REGISTRIES, THE INTERNATIONAL REGISTERY FOR MECHANICALLY ASSISTED CIRCULATORY SUPPORT (IMACS) AND THE INTERNATIONAL THORACIC ORGAN TRANSPLANT (TTX) REGISTRY.
