NATIONAL STRATEGIC RESEARCH INSTITUTE (NSRI) WAS ORGANIZED TO OPERATE AS A UNIVERSITY AFFILIATED RESEARCH CENTER (UARC) IN RESPONDING TO THE RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT NEEDS OF THE DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE (DOD) U.S. STRATEGIC COMMAND (USSTRATCOM).
