THE FOX VALLEY UNITED WAY PROVIDES SERVICES FOR PLANNING COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES AND FUNDRAISERS IN 23 COMMUNITIES, EVALUATING INDIVIDUAL AGENCY PROGRAMS, INFORMING THE COMMUNITY OF VARIOUS ACTIVITIES IT SPONSORS, AND HELPING SOLVE COMMUNITY PROBLEMS WITH GRANTS AND ALLOCATIONS TO OTHER AGENCIES. ALLOCATIONS TO 14 AGENCIES, COMMUNITY IMPACT GRANTS AND DESIGNATION PAYMENTS AMOUNTED TO 93,070, 66,416 AND 2,105, RESPECTIVELY. AN ESTIMATED ADDITIONAL 6,131 OF DONATED SERVICES WERE RECEIVED IN CONNECTION WITH FUND DISTRIBUTION SERVICES.
THE SPARK (STRONG, PREPARED, AND READY FOR KINDERGARTEN) AURORA EARLY CHILDHOOD COLLABORATION SEEKS TO EMPOWER OUR DIVERSE FAMILIES AND CHILDREN TO ATTAIN FULL SUCCESS IN LEARNING AND LIFE BY ENSURING ALL AURORA AND THE FOX VALLEY AREA'S YOUNG CHILDREN HAVE EQUAL ACCESS TO EXEMPLARY EARLY CHILDHOOD CARE AND EDUCATION. DURING THE YEAR, SPARK PROGRAMS ENGAGED WITH 1,481 CHILDREN AND 3,185 PARENTS.
VOLUNTEER FOX VALLEY CONNECTS VOLUNTEERS AND LOCAL NONPROFIT AGENCIES TO DEVELOP THE BEST OPPORTUNITIES FOR YOUTH, BUSY WORKING ADULTS AND SENIORS. DURING THE YEAR, 188 ACTIVE ORGANIZATIONS/AGENCIES WERE CONNECTED WITH 2,753 ACTIVE USERS WITH AN AVERAGE OF 1,401 VISITORS PER MONTH.
