THE UNITED WAY OF POSEY COUNTY WILL PROVIDE VISIONARY LEADERSHIP TO ASSESS COMMUNITY NEEDS, MOBILIZE RESOURCES, AND DIRECT THOSE RESOURCES TOWARD SERVICES WHICH ENHANCE QUALITY OF LIFE FOR PEOPLE LIVING IN POSEY COUNTY.

FUNDING TO LOCAL NOT-FOR-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS FOCUSED ON ACHIEVING OUTCOMES IN SPECIFIC AREAS DETERMINED TO BE ESSENTIAL IN IMPROVING PEOPLE'S LIVES AND STRENGTHENING OUR COMMUNITY: HELPING CHILDREN AND FAMILY LEAD SUCCESSFUL LIVES, IMPROVING HEALTH AND INDEPENDENCE, RESPONDING TO EMERGENCY AND BASIC NEEDS, AND ENCOURAGING CIVIC AND NEIGHBORHOOD INVOLVEMENT.


PROVIDING THE EBD YOUTH SPIRIT AWARD FOR AN INCOMING HIGH SCHOOL SENIOR FROM POSEY COUNTY TO RECOGNIZE AND ENCOURAGE COMMUNITY VOLUNTEERISM, LEADERSHIP AND INVOLVEMENT IN THE COMMUNITY YOUTH.
