THE EXEMPT PURPOSE ACHIEVEMENT OF LAKE MAXINKUCKEE ASSOCIATION (LMA) IS TO PROMOTE THE WELFARE OF LAKE MAXINKUCKEE AND THE INDIVIDUALS THAT USE THE LAKE. SINCE 1952 LMA HAS PROVIDED A POLICE AND RESCUE SQUAD ON THE LAKE AND THE SURROUNDING ROADS. LMA EMPLOYEES, OTHER THAN THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, ARE DEPUTIZED BY THE MARSHALL COUNTY SHERIFF AND THEY ARE THE PRIMARY FIRST RESONDERS TO ACCIDENTS ON AND AROUND THE LAKE. LMA OFFICERS ARE EMT, CPR AND DEFRIBRILLATOR TRAINED.
