OUR MISSION IS TO HONOR THE SERVICE AND SACRIFICE OF PUBLIC SAFETY HEROES WHO GIVE THEIR LIVES IN THE LINE OF DUTY - BY CARING FOR THE LOVED ONES THEY LEAVE BEHIND.

LINE-OF-DUTY DEATH RESPONSE -- PROVIDE FINANCIAL AND OTHER ASSISTANCE TO SURVIVORS OF FIRST RESPONDERS WHO HAVE DIED IN THE LINE OF DUTY. WE ASSISTED 335 SURVIVORS IN SOME CAPACITY AND PROVIDED DIRECT FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE ("GRANTS") TO 53. EXPENSES = 365,132 GRANTS = 158,344


REMEMBRANCE DEMONSTRATE TO SURVIVORS OF FALLEN FIRST RESPONDERS IN A SUBSTAN..VE WAY THAT THEIR LOVED ONES ARE REMEMBERED AND HONORED THROUGH GIFTS AND OTHER REMEMBRANCES AT BIRTHDAYS AND SELECT HOLIDAYS AND ANNIVERSARIES. IN PARTICULAR, CHECKS ALONG WITH PERSONALIZED LETTRS AND CARDS ARE SENT TO CHILDREN AT BIRTHDAYS AND CHRISTMAS. THERE WERE 299 RECIPIENTS. EXPENSES = 6,104 GRANTS = 17,600 HEROES TRIBUTE GALA: EXPENSES = 98,783 INCLUDES ALL OTHER PROGRAM EXPENSES AND GRANTS.


NATIONAL MEMORIAL SERVICE SUPPORT -- PROVIDE FINANCIAL, LOGISTICAL, AND EMOTIONAL SUPPORT TO SURVIVORS OF FALLEN FIRST RESPONDERS TO ATTEND THE NATIONAL MEMORIAL SERVICE WHEN THEIR LOVED ONE IS FIRST HONORED. ALSO PROVIDE LOGISTICAL SUPPORT TO AGENCIES AND CO-WORKERS. WE ASSISTED 260 SURVIVORS AND CO-WORKERS IN VARIOUS CAPACITIES AND PROVIDED DIRECT FINANCIAL SUPPORT TO 210 IMMEDIATE SURVIVORS. EXPENSES = 43,407 GRANTS = 125,365


EDUCATION -- CONDUCT TRAINING AND OTHER INITIATIVES TO HELP PREPARE FIRST RESPONDER LEADERS AND SUPPORT PERSONNEL TO PROPERLY RESPOND TO LINE-OF-DUTY DEATHS AS WELL AS FAMILIARIZE FIRST RESPONDERS IN GENERAL ABOUT LINE-OF- DUTY DEATH AND FEDERAL BENEFITS. THERE WERE 775 PARTICIPANTS. EXPENSES = 75,705
