CONFERENCES AND MEETINGS: NATIONAL ORGANIZATION OF BLACK LAW ENFORCEMENT EXECUTIVES' (NOBLE) ANNUAL CONFERENCE AND CEO SYMPOSIUM PROVIDE THE FORUM AND THE OPPORTUNITY FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT PERSONNEL TO NETWORK AND ADDRESS CRITICAL ISSUES FACING LAW ENFORCEMENT TODAY.


BUREAU OF JUSTICE ASSISTANCE: BESSEMER (NICBCR-B) IS MULTI-SECTOR PROJECT LED BY THE NATIONAL ORGANIZATION OF BLACK LAW ENFORCEMENT EXECUTIVES (NOBLE) IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE UNIVERSITY OF ALABAMA AT BIRMINGHAM MINORITY HEALTH AND HEALTH DISPARITIES RESEARCH CENTER TO REDUCE VIOLENT CRIME AND DEADLY ENCOUNTERS, INCREASE COLLECTIVE EFFICACY, STRENGTHEN POLICE-COMMUNITY COLLABORATION, AND INCREASE OVERALL QUALITY OF LIFE.ACCOMPLISHMENTS: - BUILDING A BETTER BESSEMER AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM. - WINTER/SPRING PROGRAMS PARTNERSHIPS.- OUR PAB CONTINUES TO BE SUPPORTIVE OF OUR INITIATIVES AND CAPTURE THE ATTENTION OF OTHERS IN THE COMMUNITY.- THE TEAM IDENTIFIED AN ARTIST TO CREATE THE COMMUNITY MURAL. - WE HELD TOUCHPOINT MEETINGS WITH PARTNERS. WE HAVE CONDUCTED TOUCHPOINT MEETINGS WITH UAB AS WELL AS THE OTHER COMMUNITY PARTNERS TO ANALYSIS THEIR PROGRAMS AND SEE IF WE ARE ABLE TO OFFER ADDITIONAL SUPPORT.


MEMBERSHIP: THIS PROGRAM REPRESENTS CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICERS AND COMMAND-LEVEL ENFORCEMENT OFFICIALS FROM FEDERAL, STATE, COUNTRY, MUNICIPAL LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES AND CRIMINAL JUSTICE PRACTITIONERS.
