THE SMALL SIZE OF THE CENTER ENABLES FAMILIES AND STAFF TO DEVELOP A PERSONAL RAPPORT. PERSONAL COMMUNICATION IS PROVIDED ON AN ONGOING BASIS. CLOSE RELATIONSHIPS ARE ESTABLISHED WITH EACH AND EVERY CHILD. SMALLER GROUP SIZES PROVIDE LESS STRESS FOR THE VERY YOUNG CHILD. THIS ATMOSPHERE ALLOWS FOR THE COMBINATION OF QUALITY CHILDCARE AND EXCELLENCE IN EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION.
COVID RESPONSE - WE CONTINUED TO OFFER CHILDCARE SERVICES TO CHILDREN AGES 6 WEEKS-5 YEARS OLD. WE CLOSED FOR 8 WEEKS AS A RESULT OF THE STAY AT HOME ORDER. WE REOPENED AS A LICENSED PANDEMIC CENTER ON MAY 18TH. WE HELD OUR SUMMER CAMP PROGRAM FOR CHILDREN AGES 5-12 FOR THE SUMMER MONTHS. ONLY STAFF AND CHILDREN WERE ALLOWED INSIDE THE CENTER. DROP OFF AND PICK UP TOOK PLACE IN THE LOBBY. STAFF AND CHILDREN TEMPERATURES ARE TAKEN UPON ARRIVAL. ANY CHILD OR STAFF WITH A FEVER OF 100+ WERE EXCLUDED FOR A PERIOD OF 48 HOURS AND MONITORED FOR SYMPTOMS. WE FOLLOWED CDC RECOMMENDATIONS FOR ISOLATION AND QUARANTINE. OUR HOURS CHANGED FROM 7:00AM-6:00PM TO 7:30AM-5:30PM SO STAFF HAD TIME FOR EXTRA CLEANING AND SANITIZING.
THE CHILD CARE CENTER IS COMMITTED TO PROVIDING EACH CHILD WITH A LOVING, NURTURING, AND SAFE ENVIRONMENT IN WHICH TO GROW. OUR HOLISTIC APPROACH HELPS THE CHILDREN TO DEVELOP PHYSICALLY, SOCIALLY, EMOTIONALLY, AND INTELLECTUALLY. EVERY CHILD IS RECOGNIZED AND VALUED AS AN INDIVIDUAL. STAFF CONSTANTLY IDENTIFY AND RESPOND TO THE CHANGING NEEDS OF THE CHILDREN IN ORDER TO ENCOURAGE DEVELOPMENT OF LANGUAGE AND LISTENING SKILLS, LARGE AND SMALL MUSCLE COORDINATION, COGNITIVE AWARENESS, CREATIVITY AND POSITIVE SELF-CONCEPTS. CENTERS CAN EARN UP TO A 5 STAR RATING BY MEETING THE QUALITY BENCHMARKS PRESCRIBED BY THE STATE OF OHIO.
