CHILD CARE PROFESSIONAL TRAINING AND COACHING: 4C PROVIDES EDUCATION TRAINING AND COACHING TO TEACHERS, DIRECTORS, AND CHILD CARE PROVIDERS. IN 2021, 4C PROVIDED 928 TRAINING WORKSHOPS FOR 14,865 EARLY CHILDHOOD PROFESSIONALS. 4C ALSO PROVIDED COACHING TO 1,326 CHILD CARE PROGRAMS SERVING 43,714 CHILDREN THROUGH 16,530 COACHING VISITS AND GRADUATED 178 CHILD CARE PROFESSIONALS IN THE CHILD DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATE PREPARATION PROGRAM. 4C HELPS PREPARE CHILD CARE PROGRAMS TO ACHIEVE QUALITY RATINGS IN OHIO'S STEP UP TO QUALITY SYSTEM.


CHILD CARE REFERRAL AND FAMILY PROGRAMS: 4C IS FOCUSED ON HELPING FAMILIES FIND AND CHOOSE QUALITY CARE AND EMPOWERING FAMILIES WITH KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS TO ENSURE THEIR CHILD'S OPTIMAL DEVELOPMENT. 4C USES A COMPREHENSIVE DATABASE OF CHILD CARE CENTERS, PRESCHOOL PROGRAMS, FAMILY CHILD CARE HOMES, HEAD START PROGRAMS, AND AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAMS TO PROVIDE CHILD CARE REFERRALS TO FAMILIES. IN 2021, 4C HELPED 3,804 FAMILIES FIND CHILD CARE AND ACCESS PARENT EDUCATION. IN ADDITION, 4C HELPED 125 FAMILIES EXPERIENCING HOMELESSNESS FIND RELIABLE CHILD CARE.


4C'S CHILD NUTRITION PROGRAM ADMINISTERS THE FEDERAL MEAL REIMBURSEMENT PROGRAM FOR CHILD CARE PROVIDERS. THE PROGRAM MAKES IT POSSIBLE FOR CHILDREN TO RECEIVE HEALTHY, NUTRITIOUS MEALS WHILE IN CHILD CARE AND DEVELOP HEALTHY EATING HABITS AT AN EARLY AGE. IN 2021, 4C SUPPORTED 376 CHILD CARE PROGRAMS THROUGH THE CHILD NUTRITION PROGRAM, PROVIDING 1,972,164 NUTRITIOUS MEALS TO CHILDREN IN CHILD CARE.
