TMI PROVIDES PERSONALIZED SERVICES TO THOSE WHO REQUIRE SUPPORT, ENABLING THEM TO MAKE INFORMED CHOICES REGARDING HOW THEY LIVE, WORK AND FUNCTION PRODUCTIVELY AND INDEPENDENTLY IN THE COMMUNITY.

THE COMMUNITY LIVING SERVICES PROGRAM ASSISTS PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES TO ACHIEVE INDEPENDENCE AND ENABLES THEM TO LIVE IN HOMES OF THEIR CHOICE IN THE COMMUNITY. MOST OF THESE INDIVIDUALS LIVE IN HOMES TMI HAS HELPED THEM LOCATE. SERVICES PROVIDED INCLUDE ASSISTANCE WITH HOUSEHOLD MANAGEMENT SKILLS, BUDGETING, BANKING AND PAYING BILLS, SHOPPING, MEAL PLANNING AND PREPARATION, AS WELL AS LOCATING AND MAKING USE OF VARIOUS ACTIVITIES AND RESOURCES IN THEIR LOCAL COMMUNITIES. SERVICES RANGE FROM PAID NEIGHBORS WHO ASSIST FOR JUST A FEW HOURS A WEEK, TO PAID ROOMMATES WHO ACTUALLY LIVE WITH THE CLIENT AND STAY OVERNIGHT.PLEASE SEE SCHEDULE O FOR THE CONTINUATION OF THE THREE LARGEST PROGRAM SERVICE ACCOMPLISHMENTS.THE EMPLOYMENT SOLUTIONS PROGRAM HELPS PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES TO GET INVOLVED IN JOBS OR WORK-RELATED ACTIVITY. TMI STAFF MEMBERS HELP CONSUMERS TO LOCATE JOB OR VOLUNTEER SITES THEN PROVIDE ON-THE-JOB COACHING TO HELP PEOPLE BE SUCCESSFUL IN THEIR EMPLOYMENT-RELATED PURSUITS. SERVICES INCLUDE JOB READINESS TRAINING, JOB SEARCH ASSISTANCE, APPLICATION AND INTERVIEW GUIDANCE, AND JOB PLACEMENT ALONG WITH THE PREVIOUSLY MENTIONED CAREER COACHING. THE FAMILY SUPPORT SERVICES PROGRAM PROVIDES LOVING, HOME-LIKE ENVIRONMENTS FOR CHILDREN, TEENS AND YOUNG ADULTS WITH DISABILITIES WHO ALSO HAVE BEHAVIORAL CHALLENGES. TO THIS END, TMI RECRUITS AND TRAINS FOSTER PARENTS, HELPS THEM OBTAIN LICENSURE FOR THEIR FOSTER HOMES, AND PROVIDES ONGOING SOCIAL WORK SUPPORT AND GUIDANCE, AS WELL AS BEHAVIORAL CONSULTATION AS NEEDED. THIS PROGRAM ALSO OFFERS OUT-OF-HOME RESPITE SERVICES AND BEHAVIORAL CONSULTATION FOR BIOLOGICAL FAMILIES WHOSE CHILDREN ARE STILL IN THE HOME.
