CRITTER BARN IS AN EDUCATIONAL FARM DEDICATED TO INSPIRING PEOPLE OF ALL AGES AND ALL ABILITIES THROUGH THE MIRACLES IN NATURE FOUND AT THE FARM.

OUR PROGRAMMING BUDGET IS 91% OF OUR TOTAL EXPENSES. CHILDREN ARE TAUGHT AT THE FARM IN CLASSES FOR DIFFERENT AGE-LEVELS, SCHOOL FIELD TRIPS, AND SEASONAL PROGRAMMING. WE TRAIN OUR STUDENTS TO SHARE WHAT THEY KNOW WITH OUR VISITORS. CHILDREN AND YOUTH VOLUNTEER TO CARE FOR THE ANIMALS AND ENHANCE VISITOR EXPERIENCES. IN 2021, 160 CHILDREN ATTENDED CRITTER CAMP, WHICH IS A PREREQUISITE TO THE VOLUNTEER PROGRAM, CRITTER CREW, AND 400 CHILDREN ENROLLED IN OTHER SUMMER AND YEAR-ROUND CLASSES. IN 2021, 133 CHILDREN ATTENDED SCHOOL FIELD TRIPS, AND AN ESTIMATED 4,570 PEOPLE ATTENDED TRAVELING FARM EVENTS. OUR BARNYARD CREW PROGRAM SERVES PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES. THE PROGRAM HAD 10 CHILDREN AND YOUTH, PLUS 50 ADULTS VOLUNTEER WEEKLY IN 2021. OVER 120 ADULTS VOLUNTEERED THROUGH COURT DIRECTED COMMUNITY SERVICE IN 2021. THE CRITTER BARN HAS BEEN SERVING THE PUBLIC FOR 30 YEARS.
OUR PROGRAMMING BUDGET IS 76 % OF OUR TOTAL EXPENSES. CHILDREN ARE TAUGHT AT THE FARM IN CLASSES FOR DIFFERENT AGE-LEVELS, SCHOOL FIELD TRIPS, AND SEASONAL PROGRAMMING. WE TRAIN OUR STUDENTS TO SHARE WHAT THEY KNOW WITH OUR VISITORS. CHILDREN AND YOUTH VOLUNTEER TO CARE FOR THE ANIMALS AND ENHANCE VISITOR EXPERIENCES. IN 2021, 287 CHILDREN ATTENDED CRITTER CAMP, WHICH IS A PREREQUISITE TO THE VOLUNTEER PROGRAM, CRITTER CREW, AND 957 CHILDREN ENROLLED IN OTHER SUMMER AND YEAR-ROUND CLASSES. IN 2021, ONLY 264 CHILDREN ATTENDED SCHOOL FIELD TRIPS (DUE TO COVID), AND AN ESTIMATED 77,397 PEOPLE ATTENDED TRAVELING FARM EVENTS. OUR BARNYARD CREW PROGRAM SERVES PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES. THE PROGRAM HAD 10 CHILDREN AND YOUTH, PLUS 35 ADULTS VOLUNTEER WEEKLY IN 2021. 200+ ADULTS VOLUNTEERED THROUGH COURT DIRECTED COMMUNITY SERVICE IN 2021. THE CRITTER BARN HAS BEEN SERVING THE PUBLIC SINCE 1990.
