MONETARY SUPPORT TO THE DAYTON PHILHARMONIC ORCHESTRA: MULTIPLE EVENTS ARE ARRANGED FOR THIS PURPOSE SUCH AS: MEMBERS' SOCIALS, LUNCHEONS, TEAS, DINNERS, HOLIDAY GATHERINGS, NEIGHBORS' PARTIES, YEAR IN REVIEW, OPENING NIGHT GALA, AND A BI-ANNNUAL DESIGNER SHOWHOUSE. MUSICAL INSTRUMENT COLLECTION DRIVES ARE USED TO FUND THE ORCHESTRA AND PROVIDE INSTRUMENTS TO YOUNG MUSICIANS BASED ON NEED.
SCHOLARSHIPS:EVERY YEAR, DPVA RAISES THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS FOR SCHOLARSHIP FUNDS AND MUSIC EDUCATION PROGRAMS TO HELP YOUNG MUSICIANS FOSTER THEIR GIFT AND PURSUE THEIR LOVE OF MUSIC. DPVA BRINGS MUSIC TO 50,000 CHILDREN A YEAR.DPVA'S GOAL IS FOR THE LARGEST NUMBER OF CHILDREN POSSIBLE TO BENEFIT FROM THE ADVANTAGE OF HAVING ONE OF THE NATION'S BEST PROFESSIONAL SYMPHONY ORCHESTRAS RIGHT HERE IN THE MIAMI VALLEY COMMUNITY.FOR FISCAL YEAR ENDED JUNE 30, 2016, DPVA PROVIDED 22 SCHOLARSHIPS.
