IN YEAR ENDED JUNE 30, 2022, THE SOUTH BEND SYMPHONY LIVED ITS MISSION TO ENGAGE THE COMMUNITY IN THE EXPLORATION OF ORCHESTRAL MUSIC IN ALL ITS FORMS BY PRODUCING 15 MAINSTAGE PROGRAMS SERVING MORE THAN 17,000 ATTENDEES, INCLUDING THE FIRST EVER COLLABORATION WITH THE LYRIC OPERA. IN ADDITION,THE SYMPHONY PROVIDED NEARLY 80 LIVE AND VIRTUAL OPPORTUNITIES TO HEAR AND INTERACT WITH MUSICIANS AND THE MUSIC DIRECTOR, REACHING NEARLY 60,000 PEOPLE. 2022 SAW THE SYMPHONY'S FIRST EVER SERIES OF CHURCH CONCERTS TO CELEBRATE MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. DAY. THE SECOND ANNUAL JUNETEENTH DOCUMENTARY WAS PRODUCED, GARNERING THOUSANDS OF VIEWS ON THE LOCAL PBS AFFILIATE.
