DURING THE 2023-24 SEASON, THE ELGIN SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA PERFORMED 21 REPEATED FEATURE PERFORMANCES COMPRISED OF 12 PROGRAMS OF CLASSICS, 2 POPS, 3 STRINGS, BRASS AND WOODWIND CONCERTS AND 4 HOLIDAY MUSIC WITH AN ATTENDANCE OF OVER 17,000 PATRONS. EIGHT EDUCATIONAL CONCERTS WERE PRESENTED FOR YOUTH AND SCHOOL CLASSES ATTENDED BY PUBLIC SCHOOLS THROUGHOUT THE REGION. THE ORCHESTRA CONTINUED TO PARTNER WITH LOCAL RETIREMENT COMMUNITIES, ADVOCATE SHERMAN AND ST. JOSEPH HOSPITALS AND FOOD FOR GREATER ELGIN, AND PRESENTED NEW PROGRAMS IN PUBLIC AND PRIVATE SCHOOLS, HOSPICES, SENIOR CENTERS, PUBLIC FESTIVALS AND PLACES OF WORSHIP, FREE GIFTS TO A WIDE VARIETY OF AUDIENCES AS PART OF OUR COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS PROGRAMS.
