THE ZANESVILLE DAY NURSERY ASSOCIATION WAS ORGANIZED IN 1915, AND SINCE THAT TIME HAS OPERATED THE ZANESVILLE DAY NURSERY. THE ZANESVILLE DAY NURSERY IS A LICENSED, YEAR ROUND PRESCHOOL FOR CHILDREN AGES 3-5 OF WORKING PARENTS. IN THE FALL OF 2013 THEY ALSO BEGAN OFFERING CHILD CARE FOR INFANTS AND TODDLERS OF WORKING PARENTS. THE ZANESVILLE DAY NURSERY RECEIVES INCOME FROM THREE PRIMARY SOURCES - PARENT TUITION WHICH IS DETERMINED ON A SLIDING PAY SCALE, INCOME FROM THE WILLIAM M. SHINNICK TRUST AND THEIR OWN INVESTMENTS. DURING THE SUMMER MONTHS THEY ALSO OPERATE A SUMMER PROGRAM FOR ELEMENTARY SCHOOL AGED CHILDREN.
