COOPERATIVE PURCHASING - OFFERING A COOPERATIVE PURCHASING PROGRAM THROUGH VALUEPOINT, MEMBERS LEAD AND PARTICIPATE ON SOURCING TEAMS TO ADDRESS THE NEEDS OF THEIR STATES AND DELIVER BEST VALUE CONTRACTS FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC. DURING 2021, THE VALUEPOINT PURCHASING COOPERATIVE FACILITATED THE EXECUTION OF OVER 650 STATEWIDE AND 1200 LOCAL PARTICIPATING ADDENDUMS. IN 2021, NASPO VALUEPOINT CONTINUED TO SUPPORT STATE AND LOCAL PUBLIC ENTITIES THROUGHOUT THE COUNTRY IN THEIR EFFORTS TO MEET THE PROCUREMENT-RELATED DEMANDS IN RESPONSE TO COVID-19; INCLUDING PROVIDING RESOURCES FOR SUPPLIER VETTING, ASSISTANCE NAVIGATING THE CARES ACT AND OTHER FEDERAL FUNDING; AS WELL AS ENGAGING WITH CURRENT VALUEPOINT SUPPLIERS TO HELP ENSURE ACCESS TO PPE, TESTING KITS, AND OTHER HIGH DEMAND SUPPLIES AND SERVICES. CREATED PORTFOLIO MAPS TO PROVIDE A SNAPSHOT OF THE DETAILS OF A PORTFOLIO TO MAKE IT EASIER TO INTERESTED PARTIES TO NAVIGATE THE CONTRACTS. CREATED AN EMERGING MARKETS INITIATIVE TO DIRECTLY SOLICIT NISIGHES FROM THE PRIVATE SECTOR ON GROWING OPPORTUNITES IN THE COOPERATIVE SPACE. PROCUREMENT U PROVIDES TRAINING, PUBLICATIONS, AND CERTIFICATION EXAM SUPPORT. TO SUPPORT STATES, NASPO ALSO OFFERS A PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT FUND TO SUPPORT THE PROFESSIONAL GROWTH OF STATE PROCUREMENT PROFESSIONALS. DURING 2021, NASPO PROVIDED $1,563,379 IN FUNDING TO 49 STATES AND THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA. ALSO AS PART OF THIS INITIATIVE, NASPO OFFERED 35 SCHOLARSHIPS FOR AN ONLINE PUBLIC PROCUREMENT COURSE AT AN ACADEMIC PARTNER. TO COMBAT WORKFORCE SHORTAGES IN STATES AND HELP ATTRACT QUALIFIED CANDIDATES, NASPO ADMINISTERED AN INTERNSHIP PROGRAM FOR STATES TO PARTICIPATE IN. THIS PROGRAM PLACED 5 STUDENTS IN VIRTUAL INTERNSHIPS WITH STATES ACROSS THE COUNTRY. PROCUREMENT U PROVIDED PREP COURSES TO SUPPORT PROFESSIONALS SEEKING TO ACHIEVE THEIR CERTIFICATION FROM THE UNIVERSAL PUBLIC PROCUREMENT CERTIFICATION COUNCIL. CPPO/CPPB EXAM PREP COURSE REGISTRATIONS INCREASED BY 14%, AND NASPO MEMBERS WITH A CERTIFICATION FROM UPPCC ALSO GREW BY 6% IN 2021. TO ENCOURAGE THE EDUCATION AND DEVELOPMENT OF FUTURE PROCUREMENT PROFESSIONALS, THE PROCUREMENT U TEAM PROVIDED $5,000 SCHOLARSHIPS TO EIGHT UNIVERSITY PARTNERS. CONFERENCES - CONFERENCES ARE AN INTEGRAL PART OF THE ORGANIZATION BY ALLOWING MEMBERS TO SHARE BEST PRACTICES AND LEARN NEW SKILLS. NASPO PROVIDES OUR CONFERENCES AT NO COST TO OUR MEMBERS BECAUSE OF THE IMPORTANCE OF BRINGING TOGETHER OUR MEMBERS. HELD OUR ANNUAL EXCHANGE CONFERENCE BRINGING TOGETHER 521 PARTICIPANTS WITH OVER 2,000 ONE ON ONE APPOINTMENTS TO FACILITATE NETWORKING BETWEEN VENDORS AND STATES. HAD OVER 55 NEW SUPPLIERS ATTEND. OVER 96% OF PARTICIPANTS STATED THE PROGRAM MET OR EXCEEDED EXPECTATIONS. HELD A VIRTUAL NASPO REACH CONFERENCE WITH 459 PARTICIPANTS ACHIEVING A 93% SATISFACTION RATE.
