WE HOLD RURAL AND URBAN AGRICULTURAL LANDS TO KEEP THEM IN AGRICULTURAL USE FOR FUTURE GENERATIONS, CONDUCTING RESEARCH AND EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES ON SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURE.

ALBINA GARDENS - THIS PROGRAM OCCUPIES A ONE-ACRE SITE IN PORTLAND'S ELIOT NEIGHBORHOOD, WITH 32 RAISED BEDS, 17 LONG ROWS, AND ONE LARGE GREENHOUSE. MUCH OF THIS INFRASTRUCTURE WAS BUILT OUT IN THE PREVIOUS THREE YEARS. IT OPERATES AS AN EDUCATIONAL SPACE FOR MEMBERS OF THE COMMUNITY, AND THE NEARBY LEGACY MEDICAL CENTER, TO COME AND LEARN HOW TO GROW FOOD.


ARIADNE GARDEN - THIS EDUCATIONAL COMMUNITY GARDEN HAS BEEN A FIXTURE OF NORTHEAST PORTLAND FOR OVER 20 YEARS. IT HOSTS WEEKLY EDUCATIONAL WORK PARTIES, AND CONDUCT LONG-TERM RESEARCH INTO SOIL FOOD WEB MANAGEMENT PRACTICES.


URBAN FARM COLLECTIVE - THIS PROGRAM OF OSALT BRING NEIGHBORS TOGETHER TO TRANSFORM VACANT LOTS INTO NEIGHBORHOOD FOOD GARDENS FOR THE PURPOSES OF EDUCATION, COMMUNITY BUILDING AND IMPROVING FOOD SECURITY. ALL LAND, WATER, LABOR, ADMINISTRATION AND OTHER ARE DONATED AND SHARED.
