STEWARDSHIP: THE ORGANIZATION ACTIVELY STEWARDS ITS CONSERVATION PROPERTIES. THE ORGANIZATION PREPARES A MANAGEMENT PLAN FOR ALL OF ITS FEE TITLE LANDS AND A BASELINE DOCUMENT REPORT FOR ALL OF ITS CONSERVATION EASEMENTS. THESE DOCUMENTS GUIDE ITS ANNUAL WORK PLANS IN SUPPORT OF THE CONSERVATION VALUES OF THE LANDS.THE TRUST HOLDS 2,375 ACRES OF CONSERVATION LAND IN FEE TITLE AND 42 CONSERVATION EASEMENTS PROTECTING 3,261 ACRES. FOR FEE TITLE PROPERTIES, THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES HABITAT PROTECTION AND RESTORATION, INCLUDING SPECIES MONITORING, GRAZING, FOREST MANAGEMENT, RESEARCH AND EDUCATION. FOR THE CONSERVATION EASEMENTS, THE ORGANIZATION MONITORS THE VALUES OF THE EASEMENT AND PROTECTS AGAINST VIOLATIONS OF THE EASEMENT.
ACQUISITION: THE ORGANIZATION, GUIDED BY ITS STRATEGIC PLAN AND CONSERVATION BLUEPRINT, WORKS WITH WILLING LANDOWNERS TO CONSERVE FOREVER THE CONSERVATION VALUES OF THE LAND. PUBLIC ACCESS/COMMUNICATION: THE ORGANIZATION BUILDS AND MAINTAINS TRAILS AND PROVIDES ACCESS ON SELECT FEE TITLE LANDS OR EASEMENTS TO PROVIDE RECREATIONAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION OPPORTUNITIES TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC. THE ORGANIZATION CURRENTLY PROVIDES PUBLIC ACCESS ON SIX PROPERTIES AND IS BUILDING 16 MILES OF NEW TRAILS ON TWO OTHER PROPERTIES.
