CONGREGATE MEALS: DURING JANUARY 2021 THRU JUNE 2021 WE DID NOT OFFER CONGREGATEMEALS AT THE NUTRITION SITES BECAUSE OF THE COVID 19 PANDEMIC; HOWEVER WE DID OFFERED "GRAB'N'GO MEALS". HOT NUTRITIOUS LUNCHES WERE DELIVERED TO OUR SENIORS' CAR BY A MASKED STAFF MEMBER. THE SENIORS NEVER LEFT THEIR CAR. THIS SERVICE WAS RECOMMENDED BY AREA AGENCY ON AGING AND APPROVED BY OUR GOVERNOR. WE WERE STILL ABLE TO CHECK ON THEIR WELL-BEING AND MAKE SURE THEY HAD A LEAST ONE NUTRITIOUS MEAL A DAY. BECAUSE OF THE PANDEMIC OUR NUMBERS WERE DRASTICALLY REDUCED. WE DID HOWEVER INCREASE OUR HOME DELIVERED MEAL CLIENTS. WE RE-OPENED OUR CENTER TO THE PUBLIC ON JULY 2 2021 REQUIRING THAT EVERYONE WEAR A MASK. OUR NUMBERS OF "EATING IN" HAS GREATLY DECREASED AS A LARGE NUMBER ARE STILL FEARFUL OF THE PANDEMIC. WE STILL OFFER THE "GRAB N GO" MEALS SO THAT EVERYONE WHO WANTS OR NEEDS A MEAL CAN BE SERVED. 11,391 MEALS
