THE NEVADA STATE APARTMENT ASSOCIATION ORGANIZED AND PRESENTED 8 EVENTS IN THE CURRENT YEAR SERVING 2,400 INDIVIDUALS INTERESTED IN LEARNING MORE ABOUT THE MULTIFAMILY HOUSING INDUSTRY IN NEVADA. THESE EVENTS INCLUDED SOCIAL, EDUCATIONAL, LOBBYING, AND NETWORKING SERVICES THAT WERE DESIGNED TO HELP THE MEMBERS OF THE ASSOCIATION LEARN MORE ABOUT BEST PRACTICES AND POLICIES RELATED TO THE MANY AREAS OF MULTIFAMILY HOUSING INDUSTRY IN NEVADA.
THE NEVADA STATE APARTMENT ASSOCIATION, AS PART OF ITS EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMING SURROUNDING BEST PRACTICES, HELD AN EDUCATIONAL SEMINAR THAT HAD A QUALIFIED EXEMPT PURPOSE UNDER IRS SECTION 501(C)(6). ATTENDEES OF THE EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM WERE GIVEN THE OPPORTUNITY TO LEARN MORE ABOUT THE DIFFERENT LEGISLATIVE ISSUES AND CONCERNS REGARDING MULTIFAMILY HOUSING IN THE STATE OF NEVADA.
AS PART OF THE NEVADA STATE APARTMENT ASSOCIATION'S EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS, SPECIFIC PROGRAMS ARE DESIGNED TO DEMONSTRATE THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN ADVOCACY, EDUCATION, AND LOBBYING AND THE IMPORTANCE OF EACH ACTIVITY IN THE COMMUNITY. THE GOAL OF ALL ACTIVITIES IS PRIMARILY TO EDUCATE. HOWEVER, THE LOBBYING ACTIVITIES ARE SPECIFICALLY FOCUSED ON PROMOTING LEGISLATION WHICH WILL MAKE MUTLIFAMILY HOUSING IN NEVADA MORE FAVORABLE TO NOT ONLY THE MEMBERS OF THE ASSOCIATION, BUT ALL NEVADA TAXPAYERS.
