THE MISSION OF THE YAMHILL ENRICHMENT SOCIETY (YES) IS TO ENRICH YAMHILL COUNTY WITH PROJECTS SUPPORTING EDUCATION & THE ARTS, FOOD, AGRICULTURE, HISTORY AND COMMUNITY. YES STRIVES TO FIND INNOVATION, CREATIVITY, COLLABORATION AND EFFICIENCY IN ALL ITS ENDEAVORS.

JUNIOR ORCHESTRA OF YAMHILL COUNTY (JOY) FORMERLY REFERRED TO AS "ENRICHING LIVES THROUGH MUSIC (ELM)," JOY STARTED A VIOLIN STRINGS PROGRAM AT EDWARDS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL IN NEWBERG, BASED ON THE INTERNATIONAL EL SISTEMA PROGRAM. WITH THE COLLABORATION OF THE SCHOOL DISTRICT, JOY PROVIDES IN-SCHOOL VIOLIN EDUCATION FOR K-1 STUDENTS AND OFFERS AFTER-SCHOOL ORCHESTRA TO SECOND AND THIRD GRADE STUDENTS WANTING TO LEARN VIOLIN, VIOLA, OR CELLO. FROM JULY 2021 THROUGH JUNE 2022, JOY SERVED 230 STUDENTS THROUGH THIS PROGRAM. YES AND JOY PLAN TO EXPAND THE AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM THROUGH FIFTH GRADE AND ESTABLISH YOUTH ORCHESTRA PROGRAMS THROUGHOUT YAMHILL COUNTY.
YES IS THE YAMHILL COUNTY AFFILIATE FOR THE DOLLY PARTON FOUNDATION'S IMAGINATION LIBRARY PROGRAM. YES ENROLLS CHILDREN BIRTH THROUGH FIVE, WITHOUT CHARGE OR QUALIFICATION OTHER THAN RESIDENCE IN THE COUNTY. EACH CHILD ENROLLED RECEIVES AN AGE-APPROPRIATE BOOK EVERY MONTH SENT TO THEIR HOME. IN FROM JULY 2021 THROUGH JUNE 2022, THE YAMHILL COUNTY IMAGINATION LIBRARY SENT BOOKS TO 2,900 CHILDREN.
BOUNTY OF YAMHILL COUNTY IS A PROGRAM THAT CELEBRATES THE VIBRANT COMMUNITY OF FAMOUS WINERIES, CELEBRATED CHEFS AND SUSTAINABLE FAMILY FARMS OF YAMHILL COUNTY. THE PURPOSE IS TO MAKE YAMHILL COUNTY A NATIONAL CULINARY DESTINATION AND HELP BUILD A HEALTHY LOCAL FOOD ECONOMY. BOUNTY OF YAMHILL COUNTY SOLELY OPERATED AS A FUNDRAISER IN THE LAST FISCAL YEAR.
