THE BAKERSFIELD WOMEN'S BUSINESS CONFERENCE RAISES FUNDS THROUGH AN ANNUAL CONFERENCE, BY WHICH ATTENDEES PAY A NOMINAL REGISTRATION FEE AND SPONSORS MAKE CASH AND IN-KIND DONATIONS. THESE FUNDS ARE THEN USED TO PROVIDE INFORMATION, SKILLS DEVELOPMENT, AND ENCOURAGEMENT FOR WOMEN AT A CROSSROADS.
THE R.O.S.E. MENTORING PROGRAM PROVIDES SUPPORT AND GUIDANCE FOR YOUNG WOMEN THROUGH THEIR JUNIOR AND SENIOR YEAR OF HIGH SCHOOL, HELPING THEM REALIZE OPTIONS FOR STUDENT EXCELLENCE. THEY ARE MENTORED BY PROFESSIONAL WOMEN IN THE COMMUNITY WHO VOLUNTEER THEIR TIME.
