GRANTMAKERS FOR EDUCATION'S MISSION IS TO STRENGTHEN PHILANTHROPY'S CAPACITY TO IMPROVE EDUCATIONAL OUTCOMES AND EXPAND OPPORTUNITIES FOR ALL LEARNERS.

AFTERSCHOOL & SUMMER RECOVERY AND OPPORTUNITY FUND (FUND): THE GLOBAL PANDEMIC'S IMPACT ON THE OUT-OF-SCHOOL TIME (OST) FIELD AND THE MILLIONS OF YOUNG PEOPLE SERVED IS DEVASTATING. MOST PROGRAMS HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO SERVE YOUNG PEOPLE IN PERSON AND AS COVID CASES CONTINUE, SCHOOLS ARE NAVIGATING AN UNCERTAIN RESTART. AS A RESULT, YOUNG PEOPLE ARE WITHOUT THE COMPREHENSIVE SUPPORTS OST PROGRAMS PROVIDE. THE GOAL OF THE FUND IS TO BOLSTER THE CAPACITY OF NATIONAL INTERMEDIARIES TO SUPPORT PROVIDERS IN RECOVERING AND REOPENING IN WHATEVER FORM TO SERVE YOUNG PEOPLE. THE FUND WILL PRIORITIZE SUPPORT TO PROVIDERS SERVING THOSE YOUNG PEOPLE.
CONFERENCES AND PROGRAMS: ORGANIZING CONFERENCES, SEMINARS AND E-PROGRAMS TO PROVIDE PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT THAT STRENGTHENS THE PRACTICE OF EDUCATION GRANTMAKERS. PROGRAMS AND CONFERENCES ARE FUNDED THROUGH MULTI-YEAR CONDITIONAL GRANTS.
IMPACT GROUPS: A FRAMEWORK CENTERED ON MEMBER ORGANIZATIONS FROM ACROSS THE NATION TO PROVIDE AN OPPORTUNITY TO DEEPEN MEMBERS' ENGAGEMENT WITH EACH OTHER ON A SHARED TOPIC OF INTEREST. IMPACT GROUPS CREATE RELEVANT KNOWLEDGE ACCESSIBLE BY GENERATING INFORMATION, SOURCING "LESSONS LEARNED, AND PROVIDING ACCESS TO PRACTITIONERS AND EXPERTS AND THEIR PERSPECTIVES.
