ACTIVATE FOOD ARIZONA IS A NON-PROFIT DO TANK THAT DEVELOPS AND DEPLOYS INNOVATIVE SOLUTIONS TO FOOD SYSTEM CHALLENGES TO HELP COMMUNITIES IMPROVE THEIR ACCESS TO HEALTHY, AFFORDABLE FOOD.

NON-PROFIT PROVIDER OF A USDA SNAP-PROGRAM-APPROVED MOBILE MARKET SERVICE OFFERING AFFORDABLE FRESH FRUITS AND VEGETABLES IN FEDERALLY-DESIGNATED FOOD DESERTS AND AREAS WITH LIMITED ACCESS TO HEALTHY FOOD. SERVICE TARGETS RESIDENTS OF NEIGHBORHOODS EXPERIENCING FOOD INSECURITY WITHIN THE REGION, SPECIFICALLY SERVING SENIORS AND OLDER ADULTS, ELEMENTARY SCHOOL STUDENTS 98 OF WHOM QUALIFY FOR FEDERAL FREE AND REDUCED LUNCH PROGRAMS, VETERANS, AND FAMILIES WITH YOUNG CHILDREN. IN FY22/23, THE PROGRAM DIRECTLY SERVED MORE THAN 12,000 COMMUNITY MEMBERS AND DISTRIBUTED MORE THAN 150,000 OF HIGH QUALITY, NUTRITIOUS FRUITS AND VEGETABLES WITHIN THE URBAN CORE OF MARICOPA COUNTY.
