SPORTS MARKETING - MARKET MADISON AND DANE COUNTY AS A POTENTIAL VENUE FOR ORGANIZERS OF SPORTING EVENTS THROUGH DIRECT SALES, FINANCIAL SPONSORSHIP OF EVENTS, AND PROMOTION OF MADISON AS A COMMUNITY THAT HAS AN ACTIVE FAN AND PARTICIPANT BASE FOR EVENT ORGANIZERS. EVENTS INCLUDE THE 2017 REEBOK CROSSFIT GAMES, THE CONTINUATION OF IRONMAN WISCONSIN AND SEVERAL OTHER REGIONAL AND NATIONAL SPORTING TOURNAMENTS AND COMPETITIONS INCLUDING CYCLING, TUMBLING, DISK GOLF, AND ROLLER DERBY EVENTS.
YOUTH SPORTS PROMOTION - PROVIDE UNDERPRIVILAGED LOCAL YOUTH WITH OPPORTUNITIES TO BECOME INVOLVED IN VARIOUS TYPES OF SPORTS.
"BUCKY ON PARADE" IS A FREE PUBLIC ART EVENT THAT WILL BRING 85 LIFE-SIZE BUCKY BADGER STATUES TO THE STREETS OF MADISON AND DANE COUNTY MAY 7 THROUGH SEPTEMBER 12, 2018. LOCAL AND REGIONAL ARTISTS WILL TRANSFORM THESE BUCKY STATUES INTO UNIQUE WORKS OF ART. MASC IS THE PRODUCER OF THE EVENT. EVENT PROCEEDS WILL SUPPORT "GARDING AGAINST CANCER", MADISON AREA SPORTS COMMISSION, AND OTHER COMMUNITY CHARITIES.
