INSTRUCTION AND ACADEMIC SUPPORT:SAINT MARY'S UNIVERSITY OF MINNESOTA HAS TWO PRIMARY ACADEMIC UNITS: THE COLLEGE AND THE SCHOOLS OF GRADUATE AND PROFESSIONAL PROGRAMS (SGPP). THE COLLEGE CONSISTS OF THE TRADITIONAL UNDERGRADUATE BACHELOR OF ARTS EXPERIENCE BASED ON THE WINONA CAMPUS. THE SGPP INCLUDES CONTINUING EDUCATION OFFERINGS, CERTIFICATE PROGRAMS, BACHELOR OF SCIENCE COMPLETION PROGRAMS, MASTER'S PROGRAMS, EDUCATION SPECIALIST PROGRAM AND FOUR DOCTORAL PROGRAMS. ACROSS THE 12-MONTH 2021-2022 ACADEMIC YEAR THE COLLEGE ENROLLED 1,001 STUDENTS AND DELIVERED 28,779 INSTRUCTIONAL ACTIVITY CREDIT HOURS. THE SGPP ENROLLED 4,754 STUDENTS ACROSS THE 2021-2022 ACADEMIC YEAR AND DELIVERED 51,841 INSTRUCTIONAL ACTIVITY CREDIT HOURS. THE UNIVERSITY EXPECTS TO MAINTAIN ENROLLMENT AT SGPP IN 2022-2023. THE UNIVERSITY OFFERS 28 MAJORS WITH THE BACHELOR OF ARTS PROGRAM. THE UNIVERSITY OFFERS AN ADDITIONAL 64 PROGRAMS WITHIN THE SGPP.
STUDENT SERVICES:IN 2021-2022, 311 TRADITIONAL UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS (ABOUT 32% OF THAT POPULATION) PARTICIPATED IN 15 NCAA DIVISION III SPORTS OFFERED AT SAINT MARY'S UNIVERSITY. PARTICIPATION IN INTRAMURAL ACTIVITIES ANNUALLY IS MORE THAN 40%. THE FINANCIAL AID OFFICE PROCESSED $63,630,880 IN LOANS, GRANTS, WORK STUDY AND SCHOLARSHIP FOR THE ENTIRE UNIVERSITY IN 2021-2022. 80 INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS WERE ENROLLED AT THE UNIVERSITY IN 2021-2022. TWENTY STUDENTS PARTICIPATED IN THE FIRST GENERATION INITIATIVE PROGRAM, WHICH OFFERS SELECTED STUDENTS SCHOLARSHIPS TO ATTEND THE UNIVERSITY AND SPECIAL SUPPORT ACTIVITIES WHICH INCLUDE STUDY HALLS, SPECIALIZED ADVISING AND SOCIAL ACTIVITIES WHICH PROMOTE RETENTION AND STUDENT SUCCESS. IN ADDITION STUDENT SUCCESS CENTER OFFERS ACADEMIC ADVISING AND TUTORING/LEARNING SERVICES, INCLUDING NEW STUDENT ORIENTATION TO ALL COLLEGE STUDENTS. STUDENTS CAN ALSO MAKE USE OF THE WRITING CENTER, INTERNATIONAL CENTER, CAREER SERVICES AND INTERNSHIPS, RISE (RECREATION, INVOLVEMENT AND STUDENT ENGAGEMENT) AS WELL AS CAMPUS MINISTRY FOR A WELL ROUNDED COMMUNITY EXPERIENCE.
AUXILIARY SERVICES: SAINT MARYS' UNIVERSITY OF MINNESOTA OFFERS ITS WINONA UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS A COMPREHENSIVE RESIDENTIAL LIFE EXPERIENCE. LIVING ON CAMPUS MEANS BEING PART OF A CLOSE-KNIT COMMUNITY, AND CREATING FRIENDSHIPS AND CONNECTIONS THAT LAST A LIFETIME. 83% OF STUDENTS AT THE COLLEGE, RESIDE ON CAMPUS. TWELVE RESIDENCE HALLS ARE LOCATED ON OUR BEAUTIFUL WINONA CAMPUS, SURROUNDED BY 450 ACRES OF WOODED BLUFFS AND TRAILS. RESIDENCE OPTIONS OFFER STUDENTS A VARIETY OF TRADITIONAL SINGLE AND DOUBLE OCCUPANCY ROOMS, SUITES, AND APARTMENT-STYLE OPTIONS. SAINT MARYS' UNIVERSITY OF MINNESOTA OFFERS THREE CONVENIENT ON-CAMPUS DINING OPTIONS, TONER STUDENT CENTER DINING HALL, CARDINAL CAFE, AND CARDINAL COFFEE. SEVERAL MEAL PLANS ARE TAILORED TO MEET EACH STUDENT'S NEEDS AND SCHEDULES. STUDENTS CAN ALSO UTILIZE A NEW MARKET, WHICH CONTAINS A VARIETY OF CONVENIENT SNACKS AND BEVERAGES.
