ELEVATING PEOPLE BY ELIMINATING BARRIERS TO EMPLOYMENT.GOODWILL INDUSTRIES OF NORTH CENTRAL WISCONSIN (GOODWILL NCW) IS A NONPROFIT HUMAN SERVICES ORGANIZATION AND SOCIAL ENTERPRISE. ITS MISSION IS "ELEVATING PEOPLE BY ELIMINATING BARRIERS TO EMPLOYMENT." GOODWILL NCW PROVIDES PATHWAYS FOR PEOPLE WHO ARE UNDERSERVED, UNDERREPRESENTED, AND DISADVANTAGED WHO HAVE A GOAL OF BUILDING SKILLS THAT LEAD TO SUSTAINED EMPLOYMENT AND IMPROVED FINANCIAL STABILITY. GOODWILL NCW TRACKS THEIR ABILITY TO DELIVER ON OUR MISSION AND THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS AND MANAGEMENT REVIEWS THIS ON A REGULAR BASIS. IN 2023 GOODWILL NCW MEASURED THE WAGE IMPACT OF IMPROVED FINANCIAL STABILITY. IN 2023, OVER 800 INDIVIDUALS ENTERED EMPLOYMENT WITH ASSISTANCE FROM GOOODWILL NCW. THIS RESULTED IN A $4.6M ANNUAL INCREASE IN WAGES FOR INDIVIDUALS SERVED THROUGH GOODWILL NCW PROGRAMMING.

SKILL BUILDING PROGRAMSGOODWILL NCW TAILORS PLANS OF CARE AND TARGETED TRAINING TO INCREASE JOB READINESS AND GROW SKILLS THAT LEAD TO SUSTAINED EMPLOYMENT AND IMPROVED FINANCIAL STABILITY.IN 2023, OVER 7,500 INDIVIDUALS WERE SERVED BY PROGRAMS THAT HELP INDIVIDUALS WITH BARRIERS DEVELOP SKILLS AND OBTAIN COMPETITIVE EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES AT 200 COMPANIES AND ORGANIZATIONS THROUGHOUT OUR COMMUNITIES. GOODWILL NCW ASSISTS IN CAREER EXPLORATION, RESUME CREATION, EMPLOYMENT SKILLS TRAINING, SOFT AND DIGITAL SKILLS DEVELOPMENT, JOB RETENTION AND BENEFIT ANALYSIS.GOODWILL NCW'S MISSION BEGINS WITH THE COMMUNITIES' SUPPORT THROUGH DONATIONS. THESE DONATIONS IN TURN ARE SORTED AND MERCHANDISED FOR SALE, WHICH PROVIDE MEANINGFUL TRAINING AND EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES FOR PEOPLE ACROSS THE NORTH CENTRAL WISCONSIN COUNTIES WE SERVE. IN 2023 WE HELPED DIVERT 35 MILLION POUNDS FROM THE LANDFILL. RETAIL STORE AND TRAINING CENTER OPERATIONS GENERATE REVENUE AND CASH FLOW THAT ARE USED TO FUND MISSION PROGRAMMING, COMMUNITY SUPPORT AND COVER GENERAL & ADMINISTRATIVE EXPENSES.INTERESTED READERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO READ THE FORM 990 TAX RETURNS OF ALL RELATED ENTITIES IN ORDER TO OBTAIN COMPLETE INFORMATION ABOUT THE ACTIVITIES, OPERATIONS, AND INTERRELATIONSHIPS OF THE COLLECTIVE GOODWILL OF NORTH CENTRAL WISCONSIN (GOODWILL NCW) ORGANIZATIONS.


COMMUNITY ASSISTANCEWE PROVIDE EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE TO LOCAL AGENCIES AND SCHOOLS. IT ALLOWS THOSE AGENCIES TO IMMEDIATELY HELP CLIENTS AS THEY WORK TOWARD A PATH TO FINANCIAL STABILITY. IN 2023 MORE THAN 46,937 INDIVIDUALS WERE SERVED AND MORE THAN $815K OF BASIC NEEDS WAS DISTRIBUTED THROUGH OUR STORES.


FINANCIAL PROGRAMSGOODWILL NCW PROVIDES A VARIETY OF FINANCIAL SERVICES FOR OUR COMMUNITIES, RANGING FROM BUDGET PLANNING AND FIRST-TIME HOME BUYER CLASSES TO DEBT REPAYMENT AND BANKRUPTCY EDUCATION. 2,186 INDIVIDUALS WERE SERVED IN THESE PROGRAMS IN 2023.
