IN 2021 THE MONDAY CAMPAIGNS FOCUSED ON GROWING PARTICIPATION IN ITS MEATLESS MONDAY AND ITS HEALTHY MONDAY PROGRAMS, AND RE-ORIENTED ITS WORK TOWARD VIRTUAL PROGRAM DELIVERY AND CONSUMER PROMOTIONS. THE FOUNDATION CONTINUED ITS COLLABORATION WITH JOHNS HOPKINS TO INCREASE THE ADOPTION OF MEATLESS MONDAY AMONG NEW AUDIENCES, ESPECIALLY LARGER INSTITUTIONS SUCH AS SCHOOLS AND HOSPITALS. ORGANIZATIONS INCLUDING THE AMERICAN INSTITUTE FOR CANCER RESEARCH, MEMORIAL SLOAN KETTERING, WAKE FOREST BAPTIST HEALTH, AND ANSCHUTZ MEDICAL CENTER IMPLEMENTED THE HEALTHY MONDAY SERIES FOR THEIR STAFF AND PATIENT POPULATIONS, AND OUR SMOKING CESSATION CONCEPT WAS USED AS THE CENTRAL CREATIVE MATERIAL IN PROGRAMMING SPONSORED BY THE COALITION FOR TOBACCO FREE WEST VIRGINIA. THE PROGRAM SAW SUBSTANTIAL INCREASES IN THE AMOUNT OF MATERIALS DOWNLOADED FROM OUR WEBSITE AS WELL AS IN THE NUMBER OF SUBSCRIBERS TO ITS E-NEWSLETTER.
THE COMMUNICATIONS PROGRAM CONTINUED TO CREATE MATERIALS TO FURTHER ADVANCE THE ORGANIZATION'S WORK IN FOOD SYSTEMS. IT PRODUCED, EDITED, AND DESIGNED MATERIALS IN THE AREAS OF REGENERATIVE AGRICULTURE, SUSTAINABLE AQUACULTURE, ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY, ENVIRONMENTAL JUSTICE, FARMER SUPPORT, AND OTHER FOOD SYSTEMS-RELATED TOPICS. IT CREATED DIGITAL AND PRINT REPORTS, ONE-PAGERS, BROCHURES, PRESS RELEASES, AND OTHER COMMUNICATIONS MATERIALS FOR DISTRIBUTION ON OUR WEBSITE, FOR ONLINE CONVENINGS AND WEBINARS, AND AT ONLINE COLLABORATIVE MEETINGS. IT CONTINUED TO CONDUCT OUTREACH WITH FOOD SYSTEMS COLLABORATORS, AND TO PRODUCE AN ELECTRONIC NEWSLETTER TO AID IN THE DISSEMINATION OF INFORMATION ABOUT FOOD SYSTEMS AND ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY.
IN 2021, THE PROGRAM'S FOODPRINT.ORG WEBSITE CONTINUED TO OFFER CONTENT AND RESOURCES ON SUSTAINABILITY THAT FOCUSED ON TOPICS INCLUDING CLIMATE CHANGE, FOOD WASTE, FARMERS' MARKETS, FOOD LABELS AND INDUSTRIAL ANIMAL AGRICULTURE. THE ORGANIZATION PREPARED AN IN-DEPTH REPORT ON THE FOODPRINT OF ULTRA-PROCESSED MEAT ALTERNATIVES AND BEGAN PRE-PRODUCTION FOR A NEW PODCAST SERIES.
