THE HOMES FOR HEROES CHARITABLE FOUNDATION MISSION IS TO ASSIST THOSE HEROES WHO ARE IN DIRE HOUSING NEEDS. TYPICALLY, THIS MEANS PAYING PAST DUE AMOUNTS TO AVOID EVICTION OR FORECLOSURE, OR PROVIDE DEPOSITS AND FIRST AND LAST MONTH'S RENT TO GET PEOPLE OUT OF HOMELESSNESS. WE ALSO TRY TO ASSIST THOSE IN NEED OF SERIOUS REPAIRS, BUT THAT REALLY DEPENDS ON THE TALENT WE HAVE ON THE GROUND THROUGH OUR NETWORK NEAR THE SUBJECT PROPERTY. IN 2016 THE FOUNDATION ASSISTED 262 HEROES OF THAT NUMBER 90 % WERE TO BE EVICTED AND WOULD BE HOMELESS. 95% OF REQUESTS ARE SERVICE CONNECTED DISABLED VETERANS.
