TECHGROWTH OHIO FUND IS A VENTURE FUND THAT WAS BORNE OUT OF THE TECHGROWTH OHIO PROGRAM. THE TECHGROWTH OHIO PROGRAM IS AN ESSENTIAL PART OF THE ENTREPRENEURSHIP-RELATED MISSION OF THE VOINOVICH SCHOOL AND RESEARCH COMMERCIALIZATION EFFORTS OF OHIO UNIVERSITY.

TECHGROWTH OHIO FUND PROVIDES PRE-SEED CAPITAL FUNDS TO ASSIST IN THE PROMOTION OF HIGHER PAYING OCCUPATIONS, INCLUDING HIGH TECHNOLOGY AND NEW-ECONOMY CAREERS, IN THE SOUTHEAST OHIO AREA. THESE CAREERS WILL ENHANCE THE ABILITY OF THE SOUTHEAST OHIO AREA TO ATTRACT NEW INDUSTRY AND PROVIDE USEFUL PRODUCTS AND SERVICES THAT SUPPORT ECONOMIC GROWTH, NEW JOBS, AND BUSINESS EXPANSION.
