NCDDS ONLINE RESOURCE CENTER OFFERS MORE THAN 3,000 REFERENCED RESOURCES AND BEST PRACTICES TO EDUCATE PEOPLE ABOUT DIALOGUE DELIBERATION. NCDDS MEMBERSHIP, WHICH IS OPEN TO EVERYONE, INCLUDES MORE THAN 600 ORGANIZATIONS, PRACTITIONERS, SCHOLARS FROM ACROSS THE U.S. AND 10 OTHER COUNTRIES, THE ORGANIZATION KEEPS IN TOUCH WITH OVER 20,000 PEOPLE INVOLVED IN PUBLIC ENGAGEMENT AND CONFLICT RESOLUTION WORK MONTHLY VIA EMAIL ANNOUNCEMENTS COVERING THE LATEST NEWS, OPPORTUNITIES, RESOURCES RELATED TO GROUP PROCESS WORK. THE WEBSITE OFFERS OVER 3,000 POSTS ABOUT TRAINING EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES, CALLS FOR FACILITATORS, NEWS ARTICLES, ETC. NCDD ALSO HAS CREATED OPPORTUNITIES FOR MEMBERS TO GATHER SHARE KNOWLEDGE AT NATIONAL CONFERENCES/REGIONAL EVENTS WHERE AT LEAST 3,575 PEOPLE HAVE ATTENDED. IN 2021, NCDD ORGANIZED ONLINE EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMING BY OFFERING FIVE WEBINARS SERVING OVER 500 PARTICIPANTS BY INTRODUCING THEM TO THE LATEST INNOVATIONS, PRACTICES, AND TOOLS FOR PUBLIC ENGAGEMENT WORK AND HOSTING A VIRTUAL CONFERENCE WITH OVER 125 PARTICIPANTS WHO ATTENDED.
NCDD CONTINUED ITS PARTNERSHIP WITH THE AMERICAN LIBRARY ASSOCIATION ON THE LIBRARIES TRANSFORMING COMMUNITIES FOCUS ON SMALL AND RURAL LIBRARIES INITIATIVE. THIS CONTINUING INITIATIVE PROVIDES ONLINE COURSE MODULES AND COACHING IN FACILITATION PRACTICES FOR LIBRARIES. IN ADDITION, NCDD IS PRESENTING FACILITATION SKILLS WORKSHOPS FOR LIBRARIES RECEIVING GRANTS THROUGH THE LTC PROJECT. THIS INITIATIVE HAS TRAINED MORE THAN 250 LIBRARY WORKERS IN TOTAL AND WILL CONTINUE IN 2022.
NCDD PARTNERED WITH INFOPEOPLE / CALIFA TO OFFER ONLINE EDUCATIONAL WORKSHOPS FOR LIBRARY STAFF ACROSS THE COUNTRY IN 2021 ON COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT AND CONVERSATION PRACTICES. MORE THAN 50 PARTICIPANTS ENROLLED IN TWO COURSES FACILITATION COMMUNITY CONVERSATIONS, AND PARTNERSHIPS PROJECT. NCDD PROVIDED INSTRUCTION AND COACHING FOR ENROLLEES IN THESE COURSES TO SUPPORT THEIR PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND COMMUNITY OUTREACH WORK
