CLC'S ROBUST PORTFOLIO OF PROGRAMS DEVELOPS LEADERS THROUGH EXPERIENCES THAT INSPIRE AND CONNECT INDIVIDUALS TO TRANSFORM CLEVELAND. PARTICIPANTS - FROM HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS TO RETIREES - EMBRACE CIVIC ACTION BY COMMITTING TIME, EFFORT, TALENT AND/OR NETWORKS TO ISSUES AND CHALLENGES FACING NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS, GOVERNMENT, THE PRIVATE SECTOR, AND THE BROADER NORTHEAST OHIO COMMUNITY.

LEADERSHIP CLEVELAND (LC) EMPOWERS RECOGNIZED, SENIOR-LEVEL POSITIONAL LEADERS WITH KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND RELATIONSHIPS TO ADVANCE AND DEEPEN THEIR COMMUNITY IMPACT. THE TEN-MONTH PROGRAM ENGAGES PARTICIPANTS THROUGH A HIGHLY INTERACTIVE, INTENTIONALLY DESIGNED LEADERSHIP CURRICULUM SO PARTICIPANTS DEVELOP A BROADER AND MORE DIVERSE NETWORK AND EXPERIENCE OPPORTUNITIES TO ADDRESS KEY COMMUNITY ISSUES THROUGH CIVIC ENGAGEMENT. PARTICIPANTS DEVOTE 13 FULL DAYS TO THE PROGRAM. THE LC2 FELLOWS PROGRAM CREATES AN OPPORTUNITY FOR LC ALUMNI TO FOCUS FOR NINE MONTHS ON A SPECIFIC CIVIC ISSUE AND IDENTIFY AND DELIVER A TANGIBLE OUTCOME AIMED AT CREATING LONG-TERM, POSITIVE, SUSTAINABLE CHANGE IN CLEVELAND. THE 10-MONTH PROGRAM PROVIDES A UNIQUE ENVIRONMENT THAT FOSTERS TEAMWORK, GROWTH, AND LEARNING THROUGH EXPERIENTIAL COLLABORATION, HANDS-ON EXPERIENCES, AND INTERACTIVE CIVIC EDUCATION THAT RESULTS IN A TRULY TRANSFORMATIVE EXPERIENCE.
