JEWISH INITIATIVE FOR ANIMALS A FISCALLY SPONSORED PROGRAM OF FARM FORWARD, THE JEWISH INITIATIVE FOR ANIMALS (JIFA) PROMOTES ETHICAL EATING THAT ALIGNS WITH JEWISH VALUES BY PROVIDING CONSULTATIONS AND RESOURCES TO COMMUNITIES AND INSTITUTIONS REGARDING FOOD POLICY AND JEWISH ETHICS AND PRINCIPLES.
POLICY THROUGH THE POLICY PROGRAM, FARM FORWARD, INC. WORKS DIRECTLY WITH COMPANIES, ORGANIZATIONS, EDUCATIONAL, CITY AND STATE INSTITUTIONS TO ADJUST THEIR CURRENT FOOD SOURCING AND PROVIDING SYSTEMS TO EASE CARBON FOOTPRINTS THROUGH SUPPORTING MORE PLANT-BASED AND SUSTAINABLE FARMING PRACTICES, AND TO SUPPORT LOCAL AND HIGHER WELFARE ANIMAL HARVESTING SYSTEMS. INDIA THE ORGANIZATION SUPPORTS HIGHER WELFARE, OLD-STYLE OR TRADITIONAL, HERITAGE AND "COUNTRY BIRDS" POULTRY FARMING IN INDIA TO REINFORCE THE NATIVE SYSTEMS AGAINST THE INFLUX OF COMMERCIALIZED, INDUSTRIAL AGRICULTURE UPON THE RURAL FARMERS, AS WELL AS ANIMAL WELFARE INITIATIVES AND URGENT CARE PROVIDED BY THOSE SAME FARMERS IN INDIA.
