THE WATERSHED ALLIANCE WORKS TO EDUCATE AND ENGAGE COMMUNITY MEMBERS TO BE ACTIVE STEWARDS OF SOUTHWEST WASHINGTON'S NATURAL LEGACY, WITH A FOCUS ON CREEKS, LAKES, AND OTHER WATER BODIES.

CITY OF VANCOUVER FUNDING IS USED FOR SMALL AND LARGE SCALE CREEK RESTORATION, MICRO-GRANT PROGRAM, OUTREACH AND EDUCATION PROGRAMS WHERE WE PROVIDE EDUCATION ON LOCAL STORMWATER, WATERSHED HEALTH AND PRIVATE PROPERTY CREEK RESTORATION.


THE MANLEY CREEK RESTORATION PROJECT IS FUNDED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF ECOLOGY AND INVOLVES STREAMSIDE INVASIVE REMOVAL AND PLANTING ON TEN ACRES OF PUBLIC LAND.


OTHER NON-CITY PROGRAMS INCLUDE CLARK CONSERVATION DISTRICT: AN EDUCATION AND HOMEOWNER ASSISTANCE PROGRAM TO REDUCE BACTERIA IN CLARK COUNTY WATERSHEDS BY OFFERING SEPTIC SYSTEM INSPECTION/ PUMPING/ MINOR REPAIRS; CLARK COUNTY GREEN NEIGHBORS: VITRUAL ENVIRONMENTAL DOCUMENTARY FILM SERIES; RIDGEFIELD LIONS: VOLUNTEER-INVOLVED RESTORATION WITH RIDGEFIELD SCHOOL DISTRICT; LOWER COLUMBIA FISH ENHANCEMENT GROUP: RESTORATION AND STREAMSIDE ENHANCEMENT ALONG THE LOWER LITTLE WASHOUGAL RIVER; NORMAN E. DANIELSON FOUNDATION: RESTORATION AND EDUCATION ALONG GIBBONS CREEK WITH A LOCAL MIDDLE SCHOOL THROUGH IN-CLASS EDUCATION AND ON-THE-GROUND RESTORATION.


LOWER COLUMBIA FISH RECOVERY BOARD CLEAN WATER RESTORATION PROJECTS INCLUDE THE DON'T DRIP AND DRIVE PROGRAM: AIMED AT REDUCING TOXIC AUTO LEAKS IN CLARK COUNTY THROUGH OUTREACH AND EVENTS; THE LITTLE WASHOUGAL STREAMSIDE RESTORATION PROJECT: INVASIVE REMOVAL AND RIPARIAN (STREAMSIDE) PLANTING ON PRIVATE PROPERTY; THE LOWER WASHOUGAL RIVER STREAMSIDE ENHANCEMENT PROJECT: PROVIDES ASSISTANCE TO LANDOWNERS ON THE WASHOUGAL RIVER TO RESTORE NATIVE LANDSCAPING AND REMOVE INVASIVE SPECIES ALONG THE RIVER; GRE CREEK: INVASIVE REMOVAL AND RIPARIAN PLANTING ALONG GEE CREEK.
