VINEYARD ARTS PROJECT IS A RESIDENCY SPACE THAT BOTH SERVES AS AN INCUBATOR FOR PROFESSIONAL COMPANIES CREATING NEW WORK IN DANCE AND THEATER AND HOSTS YOUNG ARTIST TRAINING PROGRAMS. WE HOST VIRTUAL IN PERSON WORKSHOP PERFORMANCES TO WELCOME THE COMMUNITY INTO THE ARTISTIC PROCESS.

THE THEATRICAL RESIDENCY PROGRAM FOSTERS THE DEVELOPMENT OF ORIGINAL THEATER AND MUSICAL THEATER WORKS BY EMERGING WRITERS AND LYRICISTS. THESE ARTISTS ARE GIVEN TIME AND SPACE TO WRITE AS WELL AS THE OPPORTUNITY TO DO A DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOP WITH ACTORS COMMUNITY MEMBERS TUNED IN VIRTUALLY DURING THE PANDEMIC. ARS NOVA AND THE PUBLIC THEATER RETURN EACH SUMMER ALONG WITH TWO OR THREE OTHER NY BOSTON LA OR INTERNATIONAL COMPANIES SELECTED BOTH BY THE ARTISTIC DIRECTOR AND THROUGH AN OPEN CALL PROCESS.
NEW CHOREOGRAPHY LAB FOSTERS THE DEVELOPMENT OF NEW DANCE AND CHOREOGRAPHIC WORK BY EMERGING CHOREOGRAPHERS. THESE ARTISTS ARE GIVEN TIME AND SPACE TO DEVELOP THEIR NEW WORK AND DO A WORKSHOP PERFORMANCE COMMUNITY MEMBERS TUNED IN VIRTUALLY DURING THE PANDEMIC. BETWEEN FOUR AND SIX COMPANIES MAKE VINEYARD ARTS PROJECT PART OF THEIR CREATIVE PROCESS EACH SEASON. THEY ARE SELECTED BOTH BY THE ARTISTIC DIRECTOR AND THROUGH AND OPEN CALL PROCESS.
YOUNG ARTIST TRAINING PROGRAMS MUSICAL THEATER LAB AND GREENWICH CONSERVATORY OF CLASSICAL BALLET ARE ARTS EDUCATION ORGANIZATIONS DEDICATED TO ENRICHING THE LIVES OF STUDENTS THROUGH THE ARTS. PARTICIPANTS REHEARSE PARTICIPATE IN SKILL BUILDING CLASSES AND PERFORM IN A SHOWCASE AT THE CONCLUSION OF THEIR TIME AT VAP.
