DEDICATED TO OFFERING EDUCATIONAL CLASSES COMBINED WITH HANDS-ON TRAINING (FARM INTERNSHIPS FOR CHILDREN, PROVIDING DONATIONS OF FOOD AND OTHER RESOURCES TO THE LOCAL COMMUNITY, FOOD PANTRIES AND OTHER NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS, COOP PROGRAMS, ETC.), DEVELOPING YEAR-ROUND GREENHOUSE AND AGRICULTURAL PROGRAMS, BREEDING HERITAGE ANIMALS, AND OFFERING FACILITIES TO ARTISTS IN RESIDENCE.

THE ORGANIZATION'S MISSION IS TO ACQUIRE, RESTORE, AND MAINTAIN THE HISTORIC LANDMARKS OF MARTHA'S VINEYARD. TO PRESERVE THE ISLAND'S UNIQUE CHARACTER, CULTURAL HISTORY, AND HERITAGE FOR THE COMMUNITY AND IT'S VISITORS.

RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES AS WELL AS FOOD AND BEVERAGE SERVICES FOR CLUB MEMBERS.

THE MISSION OF THE MARTHA'S VINEYARD BOYS & GIRLS CLUB IS TO PROVIDE EDUCATIONAL, ATHLETIC, SOCIAL & CULTURAL PROGRAMS FOR THE YOUTH OF MARTHA'S VINEYARD TO PREPARE THEM FOR HEALTHY AND PRODUCTIVE LIVES.

TO STRIVE FOR THE LIFELONG INDEPENDENCE, CONFIDENCE, AND HAPPINESS OF AUTISTIC INDIVIDUALS AND THEIR FAMILIES ON MARTHA'S VINEYARD, THROUGH HOUSING, LIFE SKILLS, ENRICHMENT, JOB TRAINING AND THERAPIES.

The goal of this organization is to enable students who demonstrate financial need to obtain the financial assistance they require to meet their educational and living expenses while in school.

TO OPERATE A BEACH CLUB AND ENCOURAGE OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES AND OTHER ANCILLARY SERVICES ASSOCIATED WITH A BEACH CLUB FOR ITS MEMBERS.

THE MISSION OF THE ANIMAL SHELTER OF MARTHAS VINEYARD IS TO PROVIDE SHELTER, HEALTH CARE, LOVER AND SUPPORT TO ALL DOMESTIC ANIMALS UNTIL A PERMANENT HOME IS FOUND FOR THEM.

The goal of this organization is to provide opportunities for people to learn and become competitive in the game of golf. Coaching, access to a golf course, golf equipment, and officials for competitions are generally included.

MISSION:

The goal of this organization is to administer centralized fundraising efforts and then in turn distribute the contributed funds to several nonprofit agencies. United Way and community chests or funds, the United Jewish Appeal and other religious appeals are examples of federated giving programs. (rev. 1/05)

OUR MISSION IS TO CULTIVATE THE RESILIENCE OF OUR COASTAL POND ECOSYSTEMS THROUGH SCIENCE, COLLABORATION, AND EDUCATION.

MISSION:

The goal of this organization is to provide opportunities for people of all ages to learn, become competitive in and enjoy the organized recreational activity, sport or game of their choice. These programs may be offered by local clubs devoted to a particular activity or sport; may provide individual or team coaching assistance or instruction, access to equipment and facilities, and uniforms, if necessary; and may sponsor or make arrangements for athletes to participate in amateur competitions, usually at the local or regional level, and provide officials for games. These events are generally for the enjoyment of the athletes and are not at a high enough competitive level to be considered spectator sports.

MISSION:

THE PRIMARY EXEMPT PURPOSE OF THE MARTHA'S VINEYARD ART ASSOCIATION IS TO PROMOTE AND SUPPORT AN ART SCHOOL, MUSEUM, GALLERY AND PUBLIC EDUCATION PROGRAMS TO PROMOTE ART APPRECIATION.

The goal of this organization is to operate centers which offer, at a single location, a variety of recreational facilities such as athletic fields and courts, a gymnasium, a swimming pool and public lockers. Recreational centers usually offer an organized program of activities for community residents and provide all necessary equipment.

SUBSIDIZE EXERCISE CLASSES (YOGA, STRENGTH TRAINING, TAI CHI) FOR THE ELDERLY OF MARTHA'S VINEYARD

MISSION:

The goal of this organization are the private foundations that make grants based on charitable endowments. Because of their endowments, they are focused primarily on grantmaking and generally do not actively raise funds or seek public financial support. These are the most common type of private foundation. They are generally endowed, usually from a single individual or family. Private foundations are considered family foundations if relatives or the original donor are still active on the board of trustees or in the operation of the foundation.

MISSION:

THE EDGARTOWN FIREMENS ASSOCIATION WAS ESTABLISHED IN 1952. IT CONSISTS OF THE MEN AND WOMEN OF THE EDGARTOWN FIRE DEPARTMENT; ACTIVE AND RETIRED FIREFIGHTERS, EMTS, AND HONORARY MEMBERS. THE ASSOCIATION WAS ESTABLISHED TO SUPPORT THESE VOLUNTEERS IN THEIR ENDEAVORS AND TO SUPPORT THE LOCAL PEOPLE OF EDGARTOWN.
