PRIME STAGE PRODUCES THREE MAINSTAGE PRODUCTIONS WHICH ARE BASED ON LITERATURE OR SELECTED FROM SCHOOL READING LIST. DUE TO COVID AND THE RESTRICTIONS, PRIME STAGE WAS ABLE TO PIVOT AND PRODUCE PRIME ONLINE. WE STARTED IN THE SUMMER WITH PRIME ONLINE FACEBOOK POSTINGS TO KEEP OUR PATRONS ENRICHED WITH MINDFUL MONDAYS, WACKY WEDNESDAY, AND STORYTIME FRIDAY. OUR 4 PRODUCTIONS WERE PRODUCED WITH ONE-ACTOR SCRIPTS, RECORDED LIVE AT HEARCORP AS FULLY STAGED PRODUCTIONS AND WERE RECORDED STREAMING AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE THROUGH OUR WEBSITE AS PRIME ONLINE. THROUGH THIS PROCESS WE WERE ABLE TO PROVIDE CLOSED CAPTION AND AUDIO DESCRIBED LINKS. SOCIAL STORIES WERE AVAILABLE ON OUR WEBSITE WITH OUR SENSORY INCLUSIVE PROGRAM. RESOURCE GUIDES FOR TEACHERS AND PARENTS ALONG WITH THE PRODUCTION PLAYBILLS AS FLIPBOOKS WERE ALSO AVAILABLE ON OUR WEBSITE FOR ANYONE TO VIEW. OUR PRODUCTIONS WERE EINSTEIN: A STAGED PORTRAIT, ONE CHRISTMAS CAROLE, AND SOJOURNER. THOUGH OUR PARTNERSHIP WITH THE HOLOCAUST CENTER OF PITTSBURGH WE CO-PRODUCED MIRACLE IN RWANDA FOR GENOCIDE AWARENESS MONTH IN APRIL. WE REACHED PATRONS AND STUDENT GLOBALLY INCLUDING CANADA, AUSTRALIA, ISRAEL AND SOUTH AFRICA THIS WILL BE AN ON-GOING PARTNERSHIP. WITH THIS BEING A GLOBAL PROGRAM, WE INCORPORATED OUR GLOBAL CLASSROOM AND CONNECTED WITH SCHOOLS GLOBALLY. THE RECORDED STREAMING LINKS INCLUDED CLOSED CAPTION IN SEVERAL LANGUAGES, AND OUR AUDIO DESCRIPTION. RESOURCE GUIDES AND PRODUCTION PLAYBILL WERE AVAILABLE ONLINE. THE LITERACY IN ACTION PROGRAM WAS REDESIGNED TO WORK VIRTUALLY WITH TEACHERS. OUR EDUCATION STAFF CREATED UNITS FOR THE TEACHER THAT DEMONSTRATED ACTIVITIES USING THEATRE TECHNIQUES TO HELP STRUGGLING READERS.DUE TO THE SCHOOLS BEING VIRTUAL, WE HAD TO HOLD OFF A YEAR FOR THE HIGH SCHOOL DRAMA AWARDS, HOWEVER THIS PROGRAM WILL RETURN IN SEPTEMBER 2021.
