INCLUDED AMONG THE ORGANIZATION'S ACTIVITIES ARE: PROVIDING FORUMS AND OTHER OPPORTUNITIES TO EXCHANGE AND DISSEMINATE INFORMATION PERTINENT TO THE MINERALS, METALS, AND MATERIALS COMMUNITY, THE PROMOTION OF TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER IN INDUSTRY, PROVIDING PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND CAREER MAINTENANCE TO MEMBERS, PARTICIPATION IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF STUDENTS FOR ENTRY INTO THE MINERALS, METALS, ANDMATERIALS PROFESSIONS, AND THE REPRESENTATION OF THE RELATED PROFESSIONS IN THE ACCREDITATION OF EDUCATION PROGRAMS AND IN THE REGISTRATION OF PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERS.

MEETINGS - PROVIDES A FORUM FOR THE ORGANIZATION'S MEMBERS AND OTHER PROFESSIONALS IN THE MINERALS, METALS, AND MATERIALS FIELDS TO EXCHANGE INFORMATION, PROMOTE TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER AND TO NETWORK. MANY OF THE MEETINGS PROVIDE SHORT COURSES AND EXHIBITION IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE TECHNICAL PROGRAM, IN ADDITION TO OFFERING A MYRIAD OF NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES. MEETINGS ARE OFFERED BOTH IN PERSON AND VIRTUALLY.
PUBLICATIONS AND PERIODICALS DISSEMINATE THE LATEST TECHNOLOGIES, RESEARCH SUMMARIES, NEWS, AND RELATED TOPICS, APPLICABLE TO THE MINERALS, METALS, AND MATERIALS COMMUNITY.
MEMBERSHIP SERVICES PROVIDE INDIVIDUAL PROFESSIONAL AND STUDENT MEMBERS WITH CURRENT INFORMATION IN THE FIELDS OF MINERALS, METALS, AND MATERIALS. IN ADDITION, MEMBERS RECEIVE ACCESS TO NUMEROUS DATABASES AND OTHER RESOURCES, CONTINUING EDUCATION, AND CAREER SERVICES.
THE OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES ADMINISTERED BY THE ORGANIZATION INCLUDE PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND CONTINUING EDUCATION SERVICES, AND THE DEVELOPMENT AND FUNDING OF PROGRAMS THAT WILL FULLY PREPARE FUTURE GENERATIONS OF PROFESSIONALS FOR LEADERSHIP ROLES IN THE INTERNATIONAL MINERALS, METALS, AND MATERIALS COMMUNITY.
