ASNT EXISTS TO CREATE A SAFER WORLD BY PROMOTING THE PROFESSION AND TECHNOLOGIES OF NONDESTRUCTIVE TESTING.
Describe the Organization's Program Activity:
JOURNALS AND EMAIL DIGESTS INCLUDE MATERIALS EVALUATION, THE NDT TECHNICIAN, NONDESTRUCTIVE EVALUATION. THESE ARE DELIVERED MONTHLY OR BIMONTHLY TO OVER 12,500 MEMBERS AND SUBSCRIBERS. THESE PUBLICATIONS DISCUSS TECHNICAL INFORMATION AND ISSUES RELEVANT TO THE PROFESSION OF NONDESTRUCTIVE TESTING.
THE ORGANIZATION DEVELOPED AND SOLD EDUCATIONAL MATERIALS TO PROVIDE EDUCATION ON ALL FACETS OF NONDESTRUCTIVE TESTING (NDT) AND ESTABLISHED NDT PERSONNEL QUALIFICATIONS AND CERTIFICATION PROGRAMS. NEARLY 25,000 BOOKS WERE SOLD AND 6,657 CERTIFICATES WERE PUBLISHED TO 3,431 INDIVIDUALS. 10 PUBLICATIONS WERE PUBLISHED IN TAX YEAR 2020. 26 BOOKS ARE CURRENTLY UNDER DEVELOPMENT.
CONFERENCES AND LEARNING PROGRAMS WERE HELD TO EDUCATE AND UPDATE NDT PROFESSIONALS ON NDT AND TO PROVIDE A FORUM FOR AN EXCHANGE OF INFORMATION. SEVEN CONFERENCES WITH 198 PRESENTATIONS, 18 WORKSHOPS ON ELEVEN TOPICS, AND 35 WEBINARS FOR WERE HELD SERVING 2434 NDT PROFESSIONALS.
MEMBERSHIP SERVICES WERE PROVIDED TO 14,146 MEMBERS IN THE UNITED STATES AND FOREIGN COUNTRIES. THE AMERICAN SOCIETY FOR NONDESTRUCTIVE TESTING BESTOWS FELLOWSHIPS, FACULTY AND SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS ALONG WITH LECTURE AND HONOR AWARDS TO INDIVIDUALS AND INSTITUTIONS MAKING SIGNIFICANT CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE ADVANCEMENT OF NONDESTRUCTIVE TESTING. THE AMERICAN SOCIETY FOR NONDESTRUCTIVE TESTING ALSO PARTICIPATES IN SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, ENGINEERING AND MATHEMATICS (STEM) ACTIVITIES AT MULTIPLE TIMES A YEAR IN VARIOUS LOCATIONS IN THE UNITED STATES.
