TO PROVIDE A BROAD SPECTRUM OF SERVICES FOR DEVELOPMENTALLY DISABLED ADULTS, WHO ARE PRIMARILY RESIDENTS OF SAN MATEO COUNTY AND NORTH SANTA CLARA COUNTY.

Part 3 - Line 4a

RESIDENTIAL PROGRAMS: KAINOS OPERATES 8 RESIDENTIAL PROGRAMS THAT PROVIDE HOUSING, TRAINING AND SUPPORT TO ADULTS WITH DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES. THESE PROGRAMS RANGE FROM LICENSED RESIDENTIAL HOMES TO SUPPORTED LIVING PLACEMENTS IN THE COMMUNITY. THEY INCLUDE THREE LICENSED ADULT RESIDENTIAL FACILITIES, A LICENSED RESIDENTIAL CARE FACILITY FOR THE ELDERLY AND 4 INDEPENDENT/SUPPORTED LIVING HOMES. EACH PROGRAM IS STRUCTURED TO ALLOW EACH RESIDENT TO LIVE AS INDEPENDENTLY AS POSSIBLE WHILE RECEIVING THE CARE AND SUPPORT NECESSARY FOR EACH TO SUCCEED; 63 INDIVIDUALS WERE SERVED IN THESE PROGRAMS.


VOCATIONAL SERVICES: KAINOS PROVIDES A RANGE OF VOCATIONAL PROGRAMS RANGING FROM A SHELTERED WORKSHOP TO A SUPPORTED EMPLOYMENT PROGRAM THAT HAS PROVIDED MEANINGFUL WORK AND EMPLOYMENT SUPPORT TO 135 INDIVIDUALS. THE PROGRAMS ARE STRUCTURED SO THAT EACH PERSON SERVED CAN WORK AS INDEPENDENTLY AS POSSIBLE WHILE RECEIVING THE SUPPORT NECESSARY TO SUCCEED.
