THE ANDERSON VALLEY SENIOR CENTER'S MISSION IS TO ASSIST ALL SENIOR CITIZENS, AGE 60 AND ABOVE WHO RESIDE WITHIN THE AREA DEFINED BY THE ANDERSON VALLEY COMMUNITY SERVICES FIRE DISTRICT, IN ORDER TO PROMOTE THEIR GENERAL WELFARE, PROVIDE A MEETING PLACE FOR SOCIAL AND RECREATIONAL GATHERINGS, EDUCATION PROGRAMS AND MEAL SERVICE TWICE A WEEK.

THE ANDERSON VALLEY SENIOR CENTER OPERATES A SENIOR NUTRITION PROGRAM AND OUTREACH SERVICE WHICH PROVIDES MEALS AND OTHER SERVICES TO 85 SENIORS RESIDING IN ANDERSON VALLEY. THE GROUP SERVED APPROXIMATELY 3200 MEALS TO AN AVERAGE OF 32 SENIORS PER MEAL.
THE ANDERSON VALLEY SENIOR CENTER OPERATES A TRANSPORTATION PROGRAM TO PROVIDE BUS SERVICES TO SENIORS TO MEALS, TRIPS TO UKIAH FOR SHOPPING, MEDICAL CARE, PERSONAL ERRANDS AND RECREATION TRIPS. THE BUS SERVED AN AVERAGE OF 16 SENIORS FOR AN AVERAGE OF 8 TRIPS PER MONTH. WE WERE ABLE TO RETURN TO SERVING LUNCH/DINNER IN PERSON AND YET MAINTAIN OUR DELIVERIES.
