LAND CONSERVATION, HISTORIC PRESERVATION AND STEWARDSHIP. APPROXIMATELY 1,500 ACRES PRESERVED.
TLC OFFERS YEAR-ROUND EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMING AND COMMUNITY OUTREACH EVENTS. ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION PROGRAMS FOR CHILDREN AND ADULTS, REGARDLESS OF AGE, ABILITY, OR SOCIOECONOMIC STATUS TAKE PLACE PRIMARILY ON OUR PARTNER PRESERVE, THE BUCKTOE CREEK PRESERVE. PROGRAM OFFERINGS INCLUDE: FULL MOON OWLS PROWLS, WILD FORAGING SERIES, DROP IN ON NATURE, FREE TIME ADVENTURES IN NATURE, HAWK WATCH, EDIBLE AND MEDICINAL PLANT WALKS, ASTRONOMY NIGHTS AND GIRL SCOUT AND CUB SCOUT BADGES.WORKSHOPS AND CLASSES ON SUSTAINABILITY TAKE PLACE AT OUR NEW LEAF SENSORY GARDEN. THIS IS A DEMONSTATION SITE FOR HOME COMPOSTING, BEE KEEPING AND VEGETATIVE BIO SWALES. COMMUNITY OUTREACH FUNDRAISING EVENTS ARE HELD AT OUR STATELINE WOODS PRESERVE.
