CARING FOR FRIENDS , FOUNDED IN 1974, IS A FOOD BANK, PREPARED MEALS PROGRAM, AND CARING KITCHEN. OUR MISSION IS TO PROVIDE FOOD AND FRIENDSHIP TO SENIORS, KIDS AND ADULTS, THE HOMELESS AND THOSE IN SHELTER IN GREATER PHILADELPHIA. WE ARE A VOLUNTEER ORGANIZATION SUPPORTED BY A SMALL STAFF. CARING FOR FRIENDS VOLUNTEERS SORT, PREPARE, PACK AND DELIVER SIX DAYS A WEEK. WE PROVIDE FRESH, FROZEN AND SHELF-STABLE FOOD TO FAITH-BASED AND COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS TO FILL THEIR PANTRIES AND SUPPORT THEIR FOOD SHARING PROGRAMS.
