YORK HABITAT FOR HUMANITY HAS COMPLETED 144 HOMES IN THEIR 39-YEAR HISTORY, INCLUDING A 16-HOME REVITALIZATION PROJECT, EXTENSIVE HOME REHABILITATIONS, REPLACED DETERIORATING HOMES AND BUILT NEW HOMES. OF THESE 144 HOMES, YORK HABITAT FOR HUMANITY REHABILITATED 49 HOMES AND BUILT 95 NEW HOMES. THIS FISCAL YEAR, YORK HABITAT FOR HUMANITY COMPLETED 2 NEW HOMES. THIS PAST YEAR, 427 DIFFERENT VOLUNTEERS WORKED ON YORK HABITAT FOR HUMANITY'S CONSTRUCTION SITES AND MORE THAN 1,461 HOURS WERE LOGGED ON THOSE SITES. 1,160 VOLUNTEERS DONATED TIME AND SKILLS OFF THE CONSTRUCTION SITE FOR YORK HABITAT FOR HUMANITY, INCLUDING HOURS DONATED FOR THE RESTORE, AND HOURS DONATED BY THE ADVISORY BOARD, BOARD OF DIRECTORS, AND COMMITTEE MEMBERS (SEE SCHE O) THIS PAST YEAR, 2 APPLICATIONS FOR HOMEOWNERSHIP WERE RECEIVED AND 0 WAS APPROVED. FUTURE BUILDINGS INCLUDE AN ADDITIONAL 4 UNITS OF NEW CONSTRUCTION ON CHESTNUT STREET IN YORK, PENNSYLVANIA, 2 HOMES IN RED LION, PENNSYLVANIA, AND 1 HOME ON PINE STREET IN YORK, PENNSLVANIA.
RESTORE IS A HABITAT FOR HUMANITY INTERNATIONAL, NON-PROFIT-RETAIL PROGRAM OPERATION THAT SELLS DONATED USED AND/OR NEW HOME FURNISHINGS AND HOME IMPROVEMENT MATERIALS. THE PROCEEDS ONCE ALL EXPENSES ARE PAID, GO BACK IN THE BUDGET TO HELP SUPPORT THE MISSION OF BUILDING HOMES FOR THOSE MOST IN NEED TO PURCHASE AFFORD-ABLY.
