THIS STATE FUNDING COMES THROUGH THE NJ DEPARTMENT OF CHILDREN AND FAMILIES/DIVISION ON WOMEN AND SUPPORTS THE CORE WORK OF NJCEDV: TRAINING, TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE, PUBLIC AWARENESS, OUTREACH AND PREVENTION.
THIS FAMILY VIOLENCE PREVENTION AND SERVICES ACT (FVPSA) FUNDING COMES TO NJCEDV DIRECTLY FROM THE U S DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES AND SUPPORTS EFFORTS 1) TO REDUCE DOMESTIC VIOLENCE; 2)TO IMPROVE THE RESPONSES TO AND THE PREVENTION OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AND ENCOURAGE STAKEHOLDERS AND PROVIDERS TO PLAN TOWARD AN INTEGRATED APPROACH THAT MEETS THE NEEDS OF ALL SURVIVORS, ESPECIALLY THOSE IN UNDERSERVED COMMUNITIES; 3) TO PROVIDE TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE AND TRAINING RELATED TO DOMESTIC VIOLENCE, AND 4)INCREASE PREVENTION EFFORTS AND PUBLIC AWARENESS ABOUT DOMESTIC VIOLENCE.
