THE NEW BRUNSWICK CHAMBER ORCHESTRA (NBCO) HELD TWO IN-PERSON SALON CONCERTS AND A DIGITAL PERFORMANCE, AS AN ALTERNATIVE, WHILE THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC CONTINUES. THE DIGITAL CONCERT, "SUBVERSIVES: REVOLUTIONARIES IN ART AND MUSIC," WAS A COLLABORATION WITH THE ZIMMERLI ART MUSEUM ON THE RUTGERS UNIVERSITY CAMPUS AND WAS INTRODUCED IN JANUARY. DIGITAL PERFORMANCES PROVIDE OUR AUDIENCE SAFE ACCESS TO OUR MUSIC, AND THE MUSICIANS OPPORTUNITIES TO PERFORM. IN ADDITION, AN EDUCATIONAL COMPONENT IS ALWAYS INCLUDED DURING THE PERFORMANCE CALLING ATTENTION TO THE COMPOSER, THE HISTORY, AND THE UNIQUE FEATURES OF THE COMPOSITION. OUR IN-PERSON PERFORMANCES SERVED ABOUT 171 PEOPLE, AND THE DIGITAL PERFORMANCE INCLUDED 686 LISTENERS. ALL OF OUR DIGITAL CONTENT REMAINS AVAILABLE ON YOUTUBE.
